Now known as Evolution rather than Evolution Gaming, the firm announced another bold move into the US casino market in partnership with William Hill!
In August, Evolution signed an agreement with BetMGM, which is a joint venture between MGM Resorts International and GVC Holdings. That deal allows Evolution to extend its current live casino games into New Jersey – one of the few states in the USA where online casinos are legal.
This deal extended Evolution’s existing deal with BetMGM. That deal is the provision of Ezugi live dealer games to New Jersey online casino players, which is an operation that has been in place since Evolution purchased Ezugi in January 2019.
Once the BetMGM deal was complete, Evolution then set its sights on continuing to expand its US live casino online venture into other states, and it took just over a year before its next partnership agreement was in place.
Who better than William Hill?
As Evolution already supplies William Hill’s European-based live casino operations with live casino games, it made perfect sense to broker a deal with their long-term European counterparts.
Evolution Expands Its New Jersey Reach
A partnership with William Hill will see Evolution’s live games rolled out in Live Casinos for William Hill in New Jersey in an amicable strategic agreement.
William Hill’s New Jersey online casinos are new to the Garden State, and its online game selection is still relatively small. Adding Evolution live casino games streamed from the existing Evolution New Jersey live dealer studio expands the online casino’s game catalog.
Thanks to the BetMGM agreement, New Jersey players are already familiar with Evolution as a brand which should help the William Hill online casino attract more customers.
For Evolution, the deal sees its live casino games available in yet another online casino in the state, which is great for brand recognition, while its William Hill partnership should mean the beginning of a move to introduce Evolution live casino tables into the Nevada market.
This could mean Evolution meets Las Vegas!
Expansion into Nevada
William Hill operates 124 race and sports book locations spread throughout Nevada. These operations are mostly through partnerships with land-based casinos who control sports betting across the state.
William Hill is one of the UK’s most prominent high street bookmakers, establishing itself as a sports betting firm way back in 1934 as a telephone betting service. It soon developed into a high street bookie with over 14,500 stores across the UK. In 1998, its sports book went online and 2 years later at the turn of the new millennium the firm launched its online casino.
As William Hill’s online presence was unrestricted by location, the firm began its global expansion accepting members from all over Europe, and eventually its online operations were available across all continents. This saw William Hill emerge as a new powerhouse in Australia and in the USA in the space of 2 years.
In 2013, William Hill became the first European gaming operator to earn a full Nevada Gaming Commission gaming license. This allows the firm to operate sports books in the state where William Hill is likely to expand into the online casino industry.
With only a few live dealer games available at online casinos such as Wild Casino, Bovada Casino, and Ignition in Nevada, introducing Evolution via William Hill will give Navada players a far wider selection of live dealer games.
However, with Evolution’s excellent knowledge of the market via its European operations, it’s fair to assume it will blow other live dealer studios in the region out of the water and there will be no shortage of lobbying to keep Evolution from entering Nevada’s online casino industry.
Further Expansion into The US Market
As the Pennsylvania and Michigan markets have new regulations that will see online casino companies offering citizens online casino games, Evolution will also work with BetMGM to become the first to offer online casino content to the market.
There are already 2 live dealer studios in the works, one for Pennsylvania and another to serve Michigan.
Evolution is now no longer an exclusive European brand as it makes its push into the USA. For European players and fans of evolution, the expansion of the brand is a positive move. Players can expect more games, more table variations, and more betting options as Evolution dabbles in fresh ways to play live casino games and release them globally.
