The 9 December SBC 2020 award ceremony is now complete and 4 live dealer studio brand names walked away with prestigious awards, while there was a surprise winner in the ‘Live Casino Supplier’ of the year award category. The event had a special guest—Vinnie Jones—an ex-professional footballer and now Hollywood actor and director!

It was an event jam-packed with multiple categories, with multiple awards under each. Altogether, there were 44 award categories which were 21 Supplier awards, 14 Operator awards, 2 Specialist awards, 3 Affiliate awards, and 4 Payment awards. We saw some big names winning in the ‘Operator awards’ category such as Leo Vegas, which picked up the ‘Casino Operator’ of the year for the second year running within the ‘Winners of Operator Awards—Sports & Casino category.

Also, an interesting category for those looking for the best payment options was the ‘Payment awards’ category. Here Much better won the ‘Payment Solution of the Year’, Dimoco took down the ‘Mobile Payment Solution’ award, while Trustly rightly earned the ‘Payment Innovation’ of the year award. Lastly, W2 walked away with the ‘Fraud & Compliance Solution of the Year’.

However, enough with the small talk because for Livecasinocentral.com news reporters, all eyes were on the live dealer casino manufacturers where we saw Pragmatic Play, BetGameTV, Evolution and BetConstruct all have their share of the spoils!

BetGameTV wins Live Casino Supplier & Leader of the Year Awards

Last year BetGameTV was delighted to win the ‘Rising Star in Casino Innovation’ in the ‘Supplier Awards – Sports & Casino’ category, but this year the live dealer brand went one better picking up the most prestigious award for live dealer manufacturers in the same category. This is the first time the SBC award included this award in their list and what an achievement it is for BetGamesTV to make their mark on the live casino scene. On top of this, BetGamesTV CEO Aiste Garneviciene won the ‘Leader of the Year’ award.

BetGameTV had 7 nominations which were Live Casino Supplier, Live Streaming Supplier Land-Based Betting & Gaming Product, Multi-Channel Supplier, Multi-Channel Supplier, Leader of the year, and Innovation in Mobile.

Evolution wins SBC 2020 award for Innovation in Casino Entertainment

The SBC award for ‘Innovation in Casino Entertainment’ in the ‘Winners of Suppliers’ category. It is quite an apt award that fits perfectly in line with recent news reports of huge ‘Mega Ball’ and ‘Lightning Baccarat’ pay-outs. What better entertainment to offer than huge multiplier wins? And so Evolution unarguably deserves their prize SBC recognition.

Evolution fought off competition from rival live dealer manufacturer BetGamesTV, while also got past iSoftBet, EGT Interactive, Stakelogic, and 9 other brands competing for this award. And we have no doubt that Evolution will add another 5+ awards to its collection next year.

Pragmatic Play Wins Innovation in Mobile

Last year, Pragmatic Play surprisingly did not feature in the SBC awards. However, this year the fast-expanding live casino manufacturer made a point by winning the ‘Innovation in Mobile award within the ‘Supplier Awards – Sports & Casino’ category, joining Evolution, BetConstruct, and BetGamesTV in the spoils.

Pragmatic Play made the shortlist for 3 other awards which were the ‘Live Casino Supplier’ of the year won by BetGamesTV, ‘Industry Innovation of the Year’ won by FASB, and ‘Casino / Slots Developer of the Year’ which Relax Gaming picked up.

BetConstruct win the SBC Industry Resilience Award

In 2019 BetConstruct won the ‘Innovation of the Year’ award in the ‘Supplier Awards – Sports & Casino’ category, while this time the live dealer platform provider came up trumps once again by taking down the ‘SBC Industry Resilience Award’. Even though this is a single award, the firm is delighted that it made its way onto multiple shortlists.

The firm also competed for the White Label Supplier, Sportsbook Supplier, Esports Supplier, Live Betting Product, Live Casino Supplier, Live Casino Supplier, and the Acquisition & Retention Partner of the year awards. It is no small feat making it to the shortlist past 100s of candidates, which means BetConstruct is one of the top 10 suppliers in all these ‘Supplier Awards’ categories.
