If there is an award ceremony in the iGaming industry, you can always bet your bottom dollar that Evolution will walk away with an award or two. That has happened once again, as the leading live casino developer was among the winners at the 2021 SBC Awards that was held in London on the 14th of December.

Evolution scooped the Live Casino Supplier of the Year Award just ahead of Playtech, and also the Innovation in Casino Entertainment. The latter is an award the development company has now won three years on the trot!

These awards follow yet more success at the 2021 EGR B2B Awards back in July. The firm picked up its 12th consecutive Live Casino Supplier of the Year Award and the Innovation in RNG Casino Software Award.

Of course, Evolution was not the only winner at the ceremony. Throughout the evening, 500 guests witnessed 43 awards handed out to online casinos and sportsbook operators, casino games suppliers/developers, affiliates, and payment providers. The award ceremony itself lasted just a little over an hour, but guests enjoyed a 3-course meal just before and a 2-hour long after party at the end – something that the winners, in particular, would have enjoyed!

The 2021 SBC Awards took place on December 14 at the ironically named venue, Evolution London. Among the guests were representatives of some of the biggest firms in the iGaming industry. Among the nominations for the biggest awards were the likes of NetEnt, Playtech, Red Tiger, Relax Gaming, LeoVegas, and King Billy Casino.

Other Big Winners at the 2021 SBC Awards

Other top iGaming names were rewarded for their performance throughout 2021. Pragmatic Play, who most of you will know, is also a live casino provider, scooped the Casino / Slots Developer of the Year, which just goes to show the consistent quality that this developer creates. BetConstruct, another live brand, took down the Multi-Channel Supplier Award, live games being one of its channels. Swinnt was the winner of the Rising Star in Casino Innovation award that bodes well for the firms push into the live casino sphere under SwinntLive.

In terms of the categories away from the live casino games industry, other notable names took down awards. LeoVegas narrowly lost out to the Betsson Group by picking up the silver in the Casino Operator of the Year category, while Trustly scooped the Payment Solution of the Year Award.

As always, the SBC Awards marks the (almost) end of the year in the iGaming industry and has shone deserved light on some of the best performers in an increasingly competitive industry. Evolution again won out, but with so many quality providers coming through, the firm may not have it so easy in the next few years!
