If you thought that was it for industry awards after the 2022 Global Gaming Awards and 2022 International Gaming Awards revealed their winners last week, you are in for a surprise. The 2022 EGR B2B awards, which are to take place on the 15th of June at The Brewery in London, have just released the nominations for its headlining categories.
There are 42 categories in total at the EGR B2B Awards this year, which are 3 more than last time around. However, we will have to wait and see who has been shortlisted for 30 of them as only the shortlists for the 12 headlining award categories that have been announced thus far.
The categories revealed so far include the ‘Casino Software Supplier of the Year’, ‘Mobile Gaming Software Supplier of the Year’, ‘Payments Company of the Year’, ‘Slots Supplier of the Year’, and the ‘Employer of the Year’.
At the end of this article, you will see that we have listed the full nominations for most of the heading awards. To give you a hint, however, we can tell you that live casino brands, including Playtech, Pragmatic Play, Swintt, Vivo Gaming, and TVBET, have a chance of walking away with some awards this time around.
Big Winners at the 2021 EGR B2B Awards: Last time around, Evolution walked away with the 12th straight EGR ‘Live Casino Supplier of the Year’ award while Playtech and BetConstruct also took home awards. TVBET will have been happy too even if the firm walked away empty-handed after receiving 4 nominations.
More Categories to Come at the 2022 EGR B2B Awards
The biggest category missing from those revealed so far is the ‘Live Casino Supplier of the Year’. Will Evolution continue its domination and win it for the 13th year in a row? You would not bet against it, but that category has to be the most competitive it has in a very long time. Pragmatic Play Live recently won the 2022 IGA Live Casino of the Year while Playtech will be a major contender as usual.
Plus, while it might be a year or two too early for some of them, there has been an influx of new live casino operators entering this competitive iGaming vertical in recent months.
