The iGaming industry has been spoilt for awards in recent days. Not only did we have the 2022 Global Gaming Awards, which awarded the likes of Evolution and LeoVegas walking away with major awards, but now we can also bring you the winners from the 2022 IGA Awards!

The International Gaming Awards (IGA) is an annual event, and this latest is the 15th addition since its inception. Once again, the IGA Awards were held at the swanky Savoy Hotel in London, a venue that is the perfect fit for an iGaming event of this magnitude. The awards were handed out on Monday the 11th of April during a ceremony that ran between 18:30 and 01:00.

We now have the winners to hand and can fill you all in on which iGaming brands were recognised at this illustrious event. In total the 2022 IGA handed out 33 awards spanning categories across the iGaming, eSports, and sports betting sectors. As we mostly focus on live casino games, it is the brands from that sector that we will focus on in this news piece.

Pragmatic Play Live Wins the Coveted Live Casino of the Year Award

Pragmatic Play has come off the back of an award-winning 2021 and has begun 2022 in the same vein. Last year, the iGaming developer won the ‘Slots Developer of the Year’ and ‘Casino & Games Supplier of the Year at the 2021 SBC Awards and also picked up the ‘RNG Casino Supplier of the Year’ at the last IGA Awards. However, all of those were earned due to Pragmatic Play’s excellent RNG video slots.

This time around, the firm has finally been recognised for its live casino games such as Sweet Bonanza CandyLand, ONE Blackjack, Mega Wheel, Mega Roulette, and Mega Sic Bo. Taking down the ‘Live Casino of the Year’ award is a big coup for the company that faces stiff competition from the likes of Evolution, Playtech, and the wealth of other live suppliers operating within this vertical.

Award Winner
Live Casino of the Year Pragmatic Play Live
Award Company
Rising Star of the Year OnAir Entertainment
Award Company
Australia/Asia Focused Technology Supplier of the Year SA Gaming
Award Company
Online Gaming Operator of the Year LeoVegas

OnAir Entertainment & SA Gaming Win Scoop Awards Too!

In the Rising Star of the Year category, OnAir Entertainment came out on top against some fierce competition. Bgaming, Pearfiction Studios, SOFTSWISS, and Gameburger Studios were just some of the iGaming brands this young but rapidly growing live casino supplier had to beat to this award.

SA Gaming was the final live casino supplier to win an award at the 2022 IGA Awards. Particularly popular in Asian markets, SA Gaming offers a range of live casino titles, including Blackjack, Roulette, Dragon Tiger, Sic Bo, and just recently the firm’s new game, Pok Deng.

Other Notable Winners at the 2022 IGA Awards

While we obviously like to focus on the live casino segment when it comes to industry awards, we should still give a mention to some other notable winners. If you love playing video slots, then you might be happy to hear that Quickspin was the developer that took down the biggest award. That firm was announced the ‘2022 Slot Provider of the Year’, an award it had yet to win at the IGA awards.

Yggdrasil added another award to its growing collection by landing the ‘RNG Supplier of the Year’ while Just For The Win won the ‘Game of the Year’ for its excellent video slot, Scarab Kingdom. As for the ‘Online Gaming Operator of the Year’, this was deservedly won by LeoVegas, an online casino we love.
