Industry awards and Evolution usually go hand in hand and this has once again been proven as the leading live casino supplier has come out on top at the 2022 Global Gaming Awards in London.

Held at the Hippodrome Casino on Monday the 11th of April, the Global Gaming Awards is one of the biggest events in the iGaming industry as it recognises the brands, casinos, and developers that have outshone their competitors throughout the year. The event also returned to a ‘live’ setting following last year’s event being streamed virtually without any attendees.

Evolution has added to its haul of award wins over the years by once again retaining its title as the Global Gaming Awards ‘Online Casino Supplier of the Year’ award. Marking a strong start to 2022, the live casino giant beat out Pragmatic Play and Playtech into second and third place, respectively.

Anyone that follows Evolution knows that this brand picks up awards practically every year, so it is not a surprise to see the company already add to the two EKG awards it won in March. Just last year, Evolution won this award alongside other notable awards, including the Live Casino Supplier of the Year (SBC Awards), Innovation in Casino Entertainment (SBC Awards), and the Live Casino Supplier of the Year (EGR B2B Awards) for the 12th year running.

The Global Gaming Awards handed out 15 awards in total with winners representing the best of the best across categories such as Payment Solution of the Year, Online Sports Betting Operator of the Year, Casino of the Year, Affiliate Program of the Year, and Executive of the Year. Below, we have listed 6 of the biggest categories and the brands that won or finished as runner-up.

More Awards: The Global Gaming Awards were not the only ones to hand out accolades yesterday. The 2022 International Gaming Awards also took place yesterday and once we have confirmed the winners, we will tell you all about those as well! Two More Global Gaming Award Ceremonies to Come: The Global Gaming Awards in London recognise the performance of gambling companies across Europe. However, to recognise those operating in Asia and North America, the Global Gaming Awards will host additional ceremonies in those regions in August and October, respectively. You can find out more about both events on the Global Gaming Awards website.

As you can see above, LeoVegas, an online casino we have reviewed, once again scooped the Online Casino of the Year Award while the land-based award went to the casino hosting the ceremony, The Hippodrome. Other big names to receive awards and recognition include Trustly, The Kindred Group, NetEnt, Oryx Gaming, Pariplay, Kambi, and Bet365. IGT, a leading gambling firm that is in the process of acquiring iSoftBet, also scooped an award, this time as the land-based Casino Supplier of the Year award.
