Evolution Scoops Two EKG Slot Awards

Evolution scoops two EKG Slot Awards to add to a large haul of awards won throughout the live casino supplier’s history! (Image from Evolution’s Twitter account)

Having won a multitude of industry awards over the years, a list that is as long as my arm, it is no surprise whenever Evolution adds more. At the 2021 EKG Slot Awards, the leading live casino provider actually scooped two more awards to add to that long list of iGaming accolades! This is even more impressive when you consider there are just four ‘online’ categories at the EKG Awards.

Evolution was named the best Overall Supplier of Online Content while the developer’s popular live dealer title, Infinite Blackjack scooped the Top Performing Online Table Game Award. In the latter category, that title was up against Live Dealer Roulette and Live Dealer Baccarat (both also from Evolution), and Playtech’s Live Roulette Blackjack Unlimited.

Infinite Blackjack is a title that has served Evolution well. One of the biggest reasons for its popularity is the infinite seating technology that it uses. This means no queues or having to use a Bet Behind feature. Everybody can sit at the table and take part in the card-flipping action!

Evolution even came close to winning a third award. The firm’s virtual table game Blackjack Surrender was nominated for the Top Performing Online Table Game Award but narrowly lost out to Blackjack Xchange from Gaming Realms.

The remaining ‘online’ category was for the Top Performing Online Slot Award. Evolution-owned Big Time Gaming earned a nomination for its flagship title, Bonanza. However, that title was up against eight others from development companies including IGT, Reel Play, Scientific Games, and Inspired. 88 Fortunes (Scientific Games) was the eventual winner of that award.

All the other categories at the 2021 EKG Awards covered land-based casino gaming, but there were some familiar names. Among the winners were Scientific Games, Aristocrat, IGT, and Novomatic. Aristocrat was the major winner across those categories and it shows that despite losing out in the race to acquire Playtech, this is a gambling brand that is well thought of around the world for the excellence it provides.

The annual EKG Awards show is organised by Eilers & Krejcik Gaming and is hosted in order to recognise the excellence in slot and live casino development in the iGaming industry. Each year, the EKG Awards announces winners in over 20 categories across the online and land-based gambling industry.

The Industry Awards Just Keep on Coming for Evolution – Consistently Delivering Excellence Will Do That

Since Evolution launched in 2006, it feels like the live brand has won awards each and every year since. Certainly, since 2010, the company has won at least a single award each year. The norm, however, is multiple awards. In 2021 alone, Evolution won the Industry Supplier of the Year Award at the Global Gaming Awards, Live Casino Supplier of the Year at the EGR B2B Awards, iGaming Supplier Award for Europe at the Gaming Intelligence Awards, and two awards at the 2021 SBC Awards!

Just to show you the dominance of this iGaming giant, Evolution has won the EGR B2B Live Casino Supplier of the Year Award for 12 years running! Moreover, I would not like to bet against the developer winning it again in 2022. We will have to wait until later in the year to see how many more awards Evolution picks up, but I would be surprised if it is not another big handful of them! As usual, we will keep you posted as and when these award ceremonies announce the nominations and declare their winners.
