The results of the first major iGaming awards event of 2023 are now in! Today, the 2023 International Gaming Awards announced the companies that came out on top of 33 award categories.

As you may have seen in our iGaming Events Calendar post, this event marks the start of a busy month for awards. We’re also expecting to see the results of the 2023 Global Gaming Awards shortly, while the EGR Nordics Awards and EKG Slot Awards are both set to take place later in the month. That is all on top of the 2023 ICE London exhibition that kicked off today.

The big live casino brands among the winners were Bombay Live (Live Casino of the Year), BetConstruct (iGaming Software Supplier), and SA Gaming (Australia/Asia Focused Technology Supplier of the Year).

As for winners in other categories such as supplier and operator, iGaming firms including SOFTSWISS, Pragmatic Play, Yggdrasil, Pear Fiction, Gameburger Studios, Rootz Casino, LeoVegas, and Relax Gaming all went home with prestigious International Gaming Awards.

Check out the full Shortlists for the below 2023 IGA Awards: In this post, we have revealed the winners of each category but not the full list of nominations for each. You can see those in our IGA Awards 2023 shortlists published last month.

The 2023 International Gaming Awards took place yesterday on the 6th of February at London’s Savoy Hotel from 6pm to 1am GMT. It attracted senior employees from many major iGaming companies who would have taken an opportunity to mingle and network with representatives of other companies in the industry. However, the main point of the evening was to see which firms scooped some of the most prestigious awards in the iGaming industry.

Bombay Live a Surprise Winner of the Live Casino of the Year?

The big live casino awards each year usually go to the usual suspects, Evolution, Pragmatic Play Live, or Playtech Live. However, none of those even made the shortlist this time around. Pragmatic Play Live was the winner in 2022,2022, but this time around, it would be another name etched on the trophy. My prediction to win (which was as wrong as ever), was for Vivo Gaming to land the award. That live casino supplier was my pick from a shortlist that also included Bombay Live (of course), 1xBet, BBIN, 18Bet, CreedRoomz, and SwinttLive.

Winners of the Supplier Categories at the 2023 IGA Awards

SA Gaming, another live casino supplier, also walked away with honours at the 2023 IGA Awards. The firm picked up the Australia/Asia Focused Technology Supplier of the Year. As for the other notable winners, you will see in the boxes following this section, Pragmatic Play won Slot Provider of the Year, Gameburger Studios won the game of the year for its Fishin’ Pots of Gold video slot, and Yggdrasil scooped the Innovator of the Year for the supplier category. Other winners in the ‘Supplier’ categories included Relax Gaming, Light & Wonder, Pear Fiction Studios, BetConstruct, and Just For the Win.

Winners of Operator and Other Categories

There were some big-name winners across the operator categories and other special categories. LeoVegas was named the winner of the Mobile Operator of the Year award, SOFTSWISS was once again the Crypto Company of the Year, and Rootz Casino claimed yet another award, this time as the Slots Operator of the Year.

We know all about the Rootz operator here at LiveCainoCentral and fully believe it deserved to win that award. We have reviewed both the Wildz Live Casino and Wheelz live casino that is operated by Wildz. They are great destinations for live casino players as live casino bonus bets contribute 50% towards bonus wagering. The firm was actually nominated for the ‘Online Casino Operator’, ‘Online Gaming Operator’, and ‘Innovator of the Year’ awards as well. However, the firm just fell short in those categories.
