What do you think about AI Live Dealers by Live Solutions? Are they a threat to reality and another sign of job replacement or a helpful tool? (Photo by LJ on Pexels)

Whether you are a fan or not it seems AI is here for the long haul. We’ve already seen Endorphina design an AI slot over in the online slot arena, but what about online live casino games?

Well, Live Solutions has beaten the pack to the race by introducing AI to host some of its live dealer games such as Blackjack, Baccarat, and Roulette. I didn’t realize that this time around it is version two of the live dealer game developer’s AI presenters.

Bad news for human dealers and croupiers because it seems this is yet another area where AI could eventually take over. Imagine how much the brands will save not having to train and hire presenters.

Some of the highlights live solutions point out is that these live dealers can help players with the games and can speak to them individually.

This is something human live dealers already do, but it seems these new AI variants are able to give players one-on-one personal attention. For players new to casino games, this may be useful, but for me, someone that has played live dealer games since they first hit the iGaming scene, I really don’t want to speak with a robot.

Another advantage for live dealer companies is that these ‘Human-Like’ bots can speak 55 languages. That sounds like 55 jobs taken multiplied by the number of dealers needed in that language. Let’s say 550 jobs down the drain. Sound good so far?

Did a live casino brand release robot dealers? Yes. You can read more about this via the CreedRoomz Roba Baccarat news here.

What Else Can These Job-Sucking AI Bots Do?

Well, these job-swallowing bots can now replace people employed to carry out KYC checks according to Live Solutions. Great! The key difference is rather than receiving KYC checks via messages, the AI bot can personally speak with the player to walk him or her through the process. I guess in this sense, despite my negativity towards the evolution of AI, this is actually a good way to utilise these robots.

KYC checks can be frustrating, and often email notifications and messages are frustrating. However, casinos do have perfectly effective live chat windows. I am sure using AI in this way will feel like KYC checks are smoother, but at the cost of jobs, well I am afraid to say I am not a fan.

What do you think of AI? Do you think our governments are ready for AI? Is AI threatening to take your job within the next 2, 3, 5, or 10 years? Let us know in the comments.

Is AI a Good Thing in Live Casino?

Now I am not a fan of this and call me old school, but the world is not ready for AI, and our governments certainly aren’t. However, the innovators that want to get rich and leave the rest of the world poor are pushing the tech-forward for better or for worse. That’s just my opinion, and I am sure there are those of you out there that are all for it.

As for the question of whether AI is a good thing in live casinos. I guess this is a case of each to their own. I prefer a human live dealer or croupier with a personality. Not to say AI avatars can’t have personalities either, but it is all a bit too fake or engineered for me.

On the other hand, I am a Star Wars fan, let me know in the comments if you are too. And the future with AI robots looks great there. However, it looks like in the fantasy world of the Jedi, the economy does very well, I am not so sure Earth has the same potential just yet.

However, within the live dealer scene, one of the software developers had to get in on the act if anything to differentiate their brand.

And you can hardly blame the company as it has live dealer casino software competition from Pragmatic Play, Playtech, Evolution, Ezugi, Lucky Streak, and a host of other brands to contend with.

It just so happens Live Solutions got there first: Implementing AI is a great marketing ploy for the brand to stand out despite the negative side, which is the threat of replacing humans in the workforce and creating mass unemployment.
