888Africa – Acquires Kenyan brand BetLion acquisition

To be clear, 888Africa is not a part of 888 Holdings, which owns the platform reviewed in our 888 Live Games review. At least not yet. It is a side venture tied to its flagship brand name and company. If it succeeds, then 888 Holdings will step in.

As the brand looks to expand within the fastest-growing iGaming globally, it focuses on acquisitions of domestic brands. In its latest deal, the company has purchased BetLion, based out of Nairobi, Kenya.

Why is this a significant deal? 888Africa will gain 3 million customers from the deal. A perfect brand looking to expand on its journey into the African continent’s iGaming markets.

Playtech’s Live Casino Expansion Continues to Move Forward

Two key news stories are coming out of the Playtech camp and are live casino focused. Although the company has plenty on its plate with its Age of the Gods jackpots, aggregator casino platform, and land-based solutions, it does have a formidable live casino following, which is often understated.

• Big Bad Wolf Live Casino Game: The company acquired Quickspin in 2016 and recently added live casino to the slot developer’s iGaming offerings. And the long-awaited Big Bad Wolf live casino Wheel of Fortune is officially available to UK casinos. An expansion into Europe and then globally is coming next.
• Adventures Beyond Wonderland Heads to the US: This is old news, but I do not recall mentioning it in previous news reports. The Wheel of Fortune live games show that has gained popularity across the globe is now available via the Playtech live casino studio in New Jersey.

Stakelogic Live – A busy brand breaking out into the mainstream

The Stakelogic live casino software provider is now a firm fixture in iGaming’s live dealer scene. However, the brand has some catching up, which is precisely why new partnership deals are still popping up with some regularity.

• Golden Palace Partnership Deal: The new B2B supply deal means the game developer’s online slots, dice games, and live dealer games will roll out onto the Golden Palace operator’s platform in Belgium. The Belgian Commission Des Jeux De Hasard (BCDH) licensing authority governs the casino and sports betting platform as well as the games.
• Betclic: The Portuguese brand has taken on Stakelogic’s slot collection, not live dealer games. Although the Spin to Win live casino jackpot wheel will be in action as a bonus side game to playing slots.
