Light & Wonder-owned Authentic Gaming has just released a brand new live table game, and amazingly, it is not a Roulette title! However, before we get into Multibet Baccarat Live, we need to tell you a bit of a backstory that involves new ownership and rebranding.

Authentic Gaming was acquired by Scientific Games (SG Interactive), a leading iGaming firm that had now set its sights on the live casino vertical, at the start of November in 2021. However, if you have kept up with our daily news since then, you would know that Scientific Games recently underwent a major rebranding. The firm is now unofficially called Light & Wonder, a change that will become permanent and official once Scientific Games fulfils all the legal requirements in the coming months.

So, to sum up, Light & Wonder (formerly Scientific Games) owns the Authentic Gaming live casino brand that has just released its first title since operating under its new parent company.

Right, with that addressed, we can take a look at this new non-Roulette title from Authentic Gaming. I say non-roulette simply because the live casino supplier’s portfolio previously only contained a handful of live roulette titles. That has now changed with the launch of its first baccarat game, Multibet Baccarat Live!

Scientific Games is/was a company with close to 70 years of history. Originally, a maker of pinball machines in 1943 and the creator of the first instant lottery game in 1974, the company has a long history in offline and online gambling. SG Interactive is is/was the firm’s online gaming arm of the company. Scientific Games (Light & Wonder) also own the virtual casino game developer’s Barcrest, Shuffle Master, and Williams Interactive.

Multibet Baccarat Live: A Quick Look at this New Authentic Gaming Title

Multibet Baccarat is a variation of Baccarat that follows standard rules, gives you the option to switch between the commission and no commission modes, and offers 14 side bets. The main game carries an RTP of 98.94% (98.76% in no commission mode) but each of the side bets (played independently from the main game) carry their own RTPs.

It is those side bets that allow Multibet Baccarat to stand out from the crowd. The main game is just like any other standard version of Baccarat. You bet on the Banker or Player to win or the hand to end in a tie. However, the side bets give you so many more betting options. You can wager on a pair landing for either, the total sums, the colours of the cards, big or small wins, and how many cards the winning hand uses, for example. In the table, you will see a breakdown of the 14 optional side bets in terms of their payouts and RTPs.

As for the features of Multibet Baccarat, it offers unlimited seating technology that allows an infinite number of players to play. The interface also offers a roadmap of previous results, which proves handy for those that make their bets depending on previous results.

The side bets are only active for a set period of time. Once half the shoe, which contains 8 full decks of cards, is half full, those side bets are turned off. This is obviously to prevent players from gaining an advantage by counting cards.
