Another new development in the live casino arena has been announced as B2B Gaming Acquires Asia Live Tech. It is yet another acquisition in what the busiest year has been so far for the live dealer niche despite being just a third of the way through the year.

Asia Tech Live, a company renowned for supplying the Asian online and mobile live casino industry has recently been in talks with B2B Gaming. Those talks resulted in the acquisition of both Asia Live Tech (ALT) and Start Live Casino (SLC) – two sister companies operating across the Far East and Southeast Asia.

By far the most recognised brand in Asia Tech Gaming. It is one of the longest-running live casino platforms online in operation since its 2011 inauguration. The company specializes in numerous gambling verticals including Live Dealer Casino, Slot Games, Sportsbook, and Lotteries & Keno while also operating an Affiliates and Agents System, plus a Back-Office System. Meanwhile, its sister company Start Live Casino was an offspring of Asia Tech Gaming in an attempt to use a second brand to capture more market share – something we have seen with Evolution and its acquisition of Ezugi.

  • ALT Live Game Collection: B2B Gaming will now take over the live dealer side of the business which currently offers a small selection of live games popular in the East. These include Baccarat, Baccarat Insurance, Baccarat Squeeze Card, Live Roulette, Live Sic Bo (TAI XIU), Live Dragon Tiger, Live Xoc Dia, and Live Fan-Tan. With the new acquisition, B2B Gaming will surely be looking to build on the game selection.
  • SLT Live Game Collection: Adding to the Asia Live Tech (ALT) games, B2B Gaming will also join the full collection of ALT live titles. This includes Baccarat, Baccarat Super Six, Dragon Tiger, Sic Bo, Xoc Dia, Blackjack, FanTan, and Roulette.

Importantly, employees involved with Asia Live Tech and Start Live Casino will retain their positions as this is a direct takeover deal with no plans to replace or lay off employees. It makes perfect sense as current loyal members of casino connecting live games from both live dealer software firms will want to see the same professionalism, they are accustomed to while, as with any live dealer brand, players also have their favourite ‘lucky dealer’ – ‘luck’ plays a huge role not just in gambling in Asia but Asian culture.

Asia Live Tech and Start Live Casino Will Soon Rebrand to B2B Gaming

Rather than continue both the Asia Live Tech (ALT) and Start Live Casino (SLC) websites, the plan is to inform players of both brands that B2B Gaming will combine both websites and games from their studios under the ‘B2B Gaming’ brand name.

Eventually, this will mean the ALT and SLC websites will redirect to the new B2B Gaming operations. Whether this means we’ll start seeing B2B Gaming live games enter the European online casino market is another matter. There were hints that this could happen in the Asia Live Tech news report as B2B Gaming mentioned the brand plans to “expand further in the iGaming industry”, which could mean a possible expansion to continents outside of Asia.

B2B Gaming’s Alternative Approach to Evolution: In Europe and the US, Evolution took a different approach when the company acquired Ezugi. Originally Evolution acquired Ezugi because the Ezugi brand was already operating in the New Jersey online casino market, which has been in operation since 2013. Ezugi also had, and still has, a huge brand presence across MGA and Curacao licensed casinos. It has enabled Evolution to maintain 2 brand names capturing market share in several global markets.
