BetMGM and Evolution have continued their fruitful relationship by opening a BetMGM dedicated live studio in Michigan. The private live studio will deliver BetMGM branded live casino games to the online casinos customers across the state. The studio will include a variety of live blackjack, roulette, and baccarat tables of varying stakes.

BetMGM began offering a live casino games about a year ago in July 2021. Offering Evolution’s full suite of innovative live casino titles, the online casino quickly grabbed a 39% market share in the Wolverine State. At the time of launch and like many that collaborate with Evolution, BetMGM simply allowed players to access the games offered directly from Evolution’s studio.

However, such is the popularity of live casino games on the platform; BetMGM has now decided to host its own dedicated studio that incorporates the familiar black and gold branding of the firm. The décor, tables, and even the attire of the live dealers and croupiers, will be in the colours that are synonymous with this leading online and land-based gambling brand.

Evolution first signed a US-wide partnership agreement back in 2020. BetMGM, a joint venture between MGM Resorts and GVC Holdings, wanted the best live provider in the iGaming industry to supply all their online casinos across all states with live casino games.

News Comes After a Similar Studio Launched for BetMGM Ontario

This is not the first time Evolution and BetMGM have collaborated to create branded studios. Just a month ago, BetMGM revealed that they had launched a similar studio in Ontario, the newly regulated Canadian state. Once again, that was in partnership with Evolution, which again shows the strong relationship these two-powerhouse companies share. Evolution has also worked alongside BetMGM in Pennsylvannia by not only providing its wide range of live casino titles, but also creating Pittsburgh Steeler and Philadelphia 76ers branded live roulette and blackjack tables.

On the launch of the new dedicated live studio, BetMGM’s Director of Gaming, Oliver Bartlett said:

We’’re confident that this beautiful studio will enhance the live casino experience of our players in Michigan. Deepening our relationship with Evolution, this BetMGM-inspired studio will amplify our market-leading product in the state.

Jeff Millar, the North America Commercial Director at Evolution also stated:

We’re delighted that BetMGM has once again shown its faith in Evolution and allowed us to create a dedicated live studio solution. The Michigan studio is up there with the best we have created and one that will strengthen our relationship with BetMGM.

Michigan Online Casino Revenue up 34% from 2021

The Michigan online casino industry enjoyed another strong showing throughout May, after it was reported that the state generated revenues of $127 million from its online casino and poker sites. That figure is slightly down on the $132.4 million generated in April, but is still a 34% increase on the same month in 2021.

BetMGM was again the leading platform as it held a 38.6% market share that contributed $49 million of the $127 brought in. That is well ahead of rivals, including FanDuel ($20 million) and DraftKings ($17.8 million). Michigan has firmly established itself as one of the top three iGaming markets in recent years. In a close-fought fight, Pennsylvania currently brings in the most revenues, followed by New Jersey. The three states are the only ones to have broken $1 billion in GGR revenue for the year so far in 2022. None have yet broken the $150 million mark in terms of monthly revenue, but are all creeping closer to that milestone.
