Evolution has fulfilled the wishes of live casino fans around the world by finally launching the much-anticipated sequel to Crazy Time, its award-winning live gameshow. Called Funky Time, this title promises another bunch of bonus rounds, more multipliers, and a brand new super-sized wheel specifically designed for this game!

Considering the success of Crazy Time, what with it scooping Evolution the 2020 SBC Awards ‘Innovation in Casino Entertainment’ award, and its remaining one of the most online casino games since launch, it is no surprise Evolution has gone back to a tried and tested formula.

Funky Time is similar to its predecessor while also having a few core differences. Similarities include four exciting bonus rounds and a top payout of 10,000x the stake which is capped at €/$/£500.000.

As for the differences, the biggest (literally) is the wheel. Designed by Digiwheel, a firm acquired by Evolution about 18 months ago, this wheel offers 64 segments and is, therefore, larger than the 54 found in the Crazy Time game. Actually, the wheel offers a lot more than size. It is a physical wheel that is essentially a large television. As each spin plays out, multiplier values and other digital animations will appear.

Want another new Evolution game? Funky Time follows the recent launch of another live game from Evolution. Just last week we reported on the launch of Extra Chilli Epic Spins™, a live video slot that offers 6-reels, up to 117,649 Megaways, a gamble wheel, free spins, and multipliers!

What to Expect from the Funky Time Live Casino Game?

At this point, we should point out that Funky Time has an 80s disco theme and is all about having a good time. As you play the game you will witness dancing, bright disco lights, music, and lots of colour. Even the live presenters dressed in their 80s get-ups will join in the dancing fun!

You will find information about all the game specs, payouts, and segments in the box accompanying this section. However, the game at its core plays similarly to Crazy Time. You can place your wagers on one, a selection, or all of the segments of the wheel. Before the wheel spins, a random multiplier adds multipliers ob between 2x and 50x to certain segments on the wheel. Obviously, those apply to the payouts you receive from the numbers, letters, and any wins you receive from the bonus rounds.

The live host then spins the wheel to determine which segment the ticker lands on. This will be the number 1, a letter (P, L, A, Y, F, U, N, K, T, I, M, E), or one of the four bonus rounds (Bar, Disco, Stayin’ Alive, or VIP Disco). If you covered the winning segment with a bet, you win the payout (or go into the bonus round).

Now, the main reason anyone will play this title is those bonus rounds. Here is what you can expect:

  • Bar Bonus: An RNG picking game that involves choosing one of three coloured cocktails. The robot bartender randomly fills the glasses with multipliers ranging from 2x and 20x.
  • Disco Bonus Round: An exciting bonus game that follows a disco dancer on a 3×3 dancefloor full of multipliers. After each spin of a wheel, he moves one place in one direction. Each section can contain a multiplier of between 1x and 100x. Some sections will contain floor multipliers that when landed on, will double the multipliers of five random sections. The bonus continues until the dancer falls off the edge of the dancefloor. At that point, you receive all multiplier values accumulated during the bonus game.
  • Stayin’ Alive Bonus: This is a bingo-style game involving an air machine and numbered balls. At the start, you choose one of three coloured balls. Each time a ball is sucked up into the machine, it increases a multiplier shown above the game. The ladder for each colour has four levels and that means you can create multipliers of up to 1,000x. The bonus round ends once 4 black balls (representing lives) are sucked out of the tombola.
  • VIP Disco Bonus: The VIP Disco Bonus is identical to the standard bonus albeit with a larger dancefloor and bigger multipliers of between 1x and 500x.

While those bonus features offer extremely lucrative payouts, the epic numbers will come when the bonus section is hit with a predetermined random multiplier of up to 50x. In short, that is what you need to achieve the payouts at the top end of the Funky Time payout scale!
