The EGR 2020 Live Casino Supplier shortlist is out with 9 top brands competing for bragging rights!

The EGR B2B awards for 2021 will take place over 3 days on the 6-8th of July. With over 230 companies entered for the awards to recognise the best companies in the eGaming industry. This year faces unique challenges so the first 2 days will be online culminating in a presentation evening on the grounds of Regent’s Park on the York Lawns in London.

Best in class companies from software and app developers, infrastructure, payments, mobile technology and design will vie for the accolades and with over 700 entries, it’s sure to be hotly competitive and highly proud to take home the awards. And there are some interesting matchups to note, with NetEnt and Red Tiger nominated in the same category, and Evolution brands have been named across multiple categories!

EGR 2021 Live Casino Supplier Shortlist!

One of the categories that we will keep a close eye on and is highly anticipated is the EGR 2021 Live Casino Supplier shortlist. The big guns are on the shortlist like Evolution Gaming, Ezugi, Playtech, SA Gaming, and Pragmatic Play, with some of the newer developer brands on the scene such as BetConstruct, TVBet, OneTouch, and BetGamesTV.

All are trying to dethrone Evolution Gaming who ran away with the award last year. The judges last year remarked, ‘Evolution is the clear market leader thanks to its wide offering of games, constant improvement, and excellent innovation with additional features and games always being released’. And honestly, it would be hard to bet against last year’s winner picking up this award again this year!

Real Dealer Studios Up Against Evolution Gaming & Pragmatic Play in RNG Software Category!

One of the other big awards shortlisted for the EGR 20201 is the ‘Innovation in RNG Software. The rising and relatively new CGI live dealer game developer Real Dealer Studios is in the running for the first time, but this is not going to be an easy ride for the firm as Evolution is a new entrant here after its focus on RNG First Person as well as the purchase of video slots brands NetEnt and Red Tiger. Other formidable names in the business challenging for this award include Relax Gaming, Digitain, Pragmatic Play, and Yggdrasil.

The RNG market is fast moving with constant twists, turns, and new surprises with 100s of software companies involved. As such, it is also one of the most difficult to get on the EGR awards shortlist, which is why the winners in 2020, Softweave are not even featured this year so, we will see a new winner!

Pragmatic Play Nominated For 10 Categories!

One of those companies shortlisted for the Live Casino Supplier award, Pragmatic Play is up for another whopping 9 awards! They have only been around since 2015 but have made major inroads into the gaming industry with a presence in 75 countries around the world! It made a name for itself in video slots but its live casino games are proving very popular. The brand will compete for the live casino supplier award but also hopes to pick up award recognition in 9 other categories it is competing in. Bingo, Poker and Mobile Supplier Awards amongst other categories it is competing in.

Pragmatic Play is involved in multiple verticals in the iGaming industry and sports betting! And as a brand, it has the most nominations across the entire EGR B2B 2021 awards event!

Pragmatic Play Nominated For 10 Categories

Red Tiger Vs NetEnt in the Casino Software Supplier Category!

Red Tiger is up for 5 awards this year after scooping 5 of the prizes last year while under the ownership of NetEnt. This now under the Evolution brand, the firm hopes to defend its titles in the Mobile Supplier, Slot Supplier, Mobile Gaming Software Supplier and Innovation in Slot Provision Awards. And the new category for them this year is the Casino Software Supplier Award – this, of course, is because Red Tiger now falls under its unique brand platform since it came under the wing of its new owners!

However, in a twist, NetEnt is also in the running for this award! It won’t be easy as there are some notable names such Aspire Global, BetConstruct, iSoftBet, and Pragmatic Play all of which have shown they are leaders in the casino software supplier iGaming niche.

With Red Tiger and NetEnt up for the award and both owned by Evolution, this becomes an interesting category! And with both brands nominated, it doubles Evolution’s chances of taking down this award!

Other Awards to Watch Out For

Worldpay the global leader in online payments won the best Payments Company Award last year and hope to make it 2 out of 2 after being shortlisted this year. The winners of the Affiliate Software Supplier Award last year, Income Access are in a strong field of 6 this time round including BetConstruct and SoftSwiss.

Stay tuned to see who the winners and losers are at the awards ceremony and see if you agree with the judges.
