Evolution Dual Play Closures

For Evolution, being one of the largest and most profitable live dealer manufacturers online also exposes its operations to some risk. At this time, with the current state of world affairs, it is the firm’s dual play table revenues being hit hard as UK casinos once again feel the pinch of the pandemic adding further disruption for Evolution Dual Play Roulette & Baccarat.

Dual Play tables by Evolution are an ingenious way of bringing online casino players inside land-based casinos via a webcam. Predominantly in the UK and across Europe, live dealer players can place bets on roulette and blackjack tables on the casino floors of numerous land-based casinos such as the Hippodrome in London, Dragonara Casino in Malta, and Genting’s Resorts World in Birmingham.

However, live dealer studios streaming all live table games outside of the dual play collection are still open for business. The locations of Evolution’s studios are outside of the UK and currently not facing local restrictions to stop Evolution’s workforce of technical employees, dealers, and croupiers from continuing to offer online services.

UK Dual Play Closures

With the new strain of Covid-19 hitting the UK hard, 4 UK casinos hosting Evolution Dual Play tables are now closed. The areas the casinos do business are on the UK’s top ‘at risk’ tier, which is tier 4.

In London Evolution’s dual play roulette and baccarat tables operate out of The Ritz Club, The Hippodrome, and Grosvenor’s Victoria Casino. All 4 casinos are now closed until further notice as the UK struggles to contain the new VUI—202012/01 strain. This is the same scenario as our end of November report but this time the casinos are in ‘Tier 4’ rather than ‘Tier 3’ meaning rather than moving forward, it seems the UK is moving backwards.

Other casinos affected include Evolution’s dual play partner Genting’s Resorts World in Birmingham, which is also in tier 4 and closed for business. Anyone looking for these games at their online casino will either see a message stating that service is offline or these games will no longer appear with the casino live dealer section.

Spain & Belgium Closures Land-Based Evolution Game Closures

Other land-based casino operations operating across Europe are in the Casino Odiseo Murcia, Spain and the Casino de Spa in Belgium. Because of restrictions in both Spain and Belgium, these casinos are now officially closed. Dual Play tables offered from these land-based casinos are predominantly to serve the domestic market and casino members.

Dual Play Tables in Malta Still Operational

Evolutions Dual Play tables in the Dragonara Casino in Malta are still operational, as the island is not in a state of emergency.

The casino is open 24 hours a day and like many of the London based casinos has also suffered due to closures as the island locked down. For the time being, the local government is saying that there are no plans for lockdown giving those that want to play dual play baccarat and roulette options to head over to Malta with their webcam streams.

Ezugi 360 Land-Based Streams Still Online

The Ezugi 360 operations also offer live dealer players the chance to sit down at casino tables situated inside land-based casinos by streaming in via their webcams. Currently, the live dealer manufacturer’s 360 Roulette tables are still online and streaming from in the Oracle and Portomaso casinos in Malta, as the island will not lockdown for the time being.

Ezugi 360 live Baccarat tables in the Queenco Hotel and Casino in Cambodia are also still in operation. Cambodia is relatively free of Covid-19, and as such, this casino is still fully operational.

Live Dealer Studios Still Open

For the most part, disruptions to live dealer gaming online are only affecting UK operations or land-based operations. As for Evolution live dealer studios, as well as the live dealer studios of other live dealer platforms such as Ezugi, Pragmatic Play and Playtech Live, it is business as usual as the studios are not in the UK.

Ezugi has live dealer studios in Bulgaria, Latvia, Latin America, Romania, and New Jersey, which are all fully operational. Evolution’s 6 live dealer studios across Europe, 1 in Canada, and 2 in the USA are all still online, while Pragmatic Play’s Bucharest, Romania studios and Playtech’s Manila, Philippines and Riga, Latvia studios are also still open for business and providing live dealer gamers with live casino action online.

As the studios are only there purely for online entertainment and not for visiting customers, many of these studios are deemed as places that have a lower risk of spreading Covid-19 while of course land-based casinos offer physical services to the public forcing many of them to close down.
