Sometimes the software providers, tech suppliers, payment solutions and operators swallow up all the credit for the online gambling scene via sports betting and iGaming awards events. This can sometimes mean one of the core backbones of the industry often goes unnoticed.
However, the Global Regulatory Awards event is here to make sure brands involved with keeping our iGaming experiences safe, secure and integrally sound get noticed.
And to make things exciting, this year’s event comes with ’20 awards’ up for grabs.
Adding to this, just to make sure you know who is keeping your live casino gambling experiences safe and trustworthy, I bring you the Global Regulatory Awards 2022 shortlists.
When you browse the lists, look out for big names that take safe and responsible gaming seriously. This list includes brands heavily involved with the live dealer niche such as Playtech, Entain Group, Gaming Laboratories International (GLI), Authentic Gaming (live casino brand), Light & Wonder (owns Authentic Gaming), Flutter Entertainment, Amusnet Interactive (an EGT brand), Games Global (OnAir Entertainment/Microsoft) and BETCONSTRUCT. Just as a side note, it’s worth mention that this is an amazing time for BETCONTRUCT because the company also has 7 awards nominations on the SBC Latinoamérica 2022 Awards shortlists.
As for Global Regulatory Awards, this is the sixth time the event has taken place. It is expected to draw in a crowd of over 400 people from a variety of companies and iGaming brands connected to regulatory compliance. Last year’s event drew in 350 attendees, and with COVID now less of an issue, this year I expect the event to smash that figure.
When & Where is the Global Regulatory Awards 2022? The event host is VIXIO Gambling Compliance and the charity partner is YGAM. The event will take place 30 November 20220 (just over two months to), De Vere Grand Connaught Rooms in London.

You’ll also notice the event also takes into consideration land-based casinos and supplies. For now, the focus is on the awards categories with companies involved with live casino. Why is the Global Regulatory Awards 2022 Important?
Think about this. Who makes sure the casino game software is 100% random? Who ensures players have an outlet in case a rogue casino is not playing ball? And how can we players always guarantee that the online casinos are giving us a fair deal? On top of this, there are many more security, player, and financial safety questions we bring up regarding fair and integral online gambling.
The clue to the answer to these questions is one of the key components many of us online gamblers focus on when carrying out due diligence on whether we should join a particular online gambling platform.
- Testing companies like BMM and GLI that certify random number generators (RNGs)
- The licensing authorities ensure we have legal support while also keeping online casinos in check, as well as making sure they operate within the boundaries of the law. For example, keeping our funds in bank accounts separate from the online casinos’ day-to-day operations so our balances do not end up swallowed up by auditors in case of liquidation or casino bankruptcy.
