Two major headlines in the live casino sphere see major iGaming firms confirm new deals that could see the future of live casino blow wide open. Digitain is to announce its new live dealer ambitions at ICE in April 2022, while EGT’s expansion in Switzerland could see the emergence of EGT live dealer games in the country.

Digitain Fosters Live Casino Expert into its Ranks

Digitain, already known for streaming major live dealer brands across its aggregator delivery platform, has given us a concrete hint that it plans to break into the iGaming niche after appointing Jason Marcelino as Commercial Director.

Marcelino has come to the company with the specific title of Digitain Live Casino’s Commercial Director. He has a decade of experience under his belt working in London’s top Mayfair casinos, and he has experience in the online live dealer vertical to add to his 10 years of land-based casino knowledge. This includes working with Pragmatic Play Live and NetEnt, the latter now end of life after the Evolution takeover of NetEnt and Red Tiger Gaming.

EGT Signs a Deal with Switzerland’s 7melons Brand

Further news doing the rounds on the iGaming news wires and gossip columns brings yet another big name into the live casino fold. EGT, which already has an impressive market reach, is now officially a live dealer brand, and the company has just confirmed yet another lucrative move to break further into the Swiss iGaming market (covered on our sister site in German language).

It comes as no surprise the EGT live casino has been born and with it any new deal to expand comes with the prospect of its live dealer games coming next. For now, the current deal announced by EGT is an expansion into the Swiss market offering titles like Dice & Roll, Zodiac Wheel, and Shining Crown released at 7melons.ch. The same brand already offers a live casino lobby with Evolution game titles, but could this be the key to EGT diversifying the casino’s live dealer offering?

Speculation or Fact? For Digitain, the company has already expressed that its live casino branch is an exciting new addition, and there is the appointment of an experienced Commercial Director, so we can expect to see more from this brand. However, I am just speculating regarding EGT’s live casino move into the Swiss market, but with the live casino scene clearly growing across all continents EGT will want to make deals as fast as possible before new competitors have their chance to grow and solidify market share.

It is the beginning of a new dawn for live dealer iGaming

The live casino scene has always been an interesting vertical to cover. With its remarkable growth and key improvements to technology as well as the evolution of new live dealer enable delivery platforms, we are seeing more big-name brands making moves into the ever-growing iGaming niche. Stakelogic. EGT, and Digitain are some of the latest iGaming giants entering the niche.

Up until now, while I have been covering the online casino live dealer market, most news to this point covers a select few live dealer brands. Evolution and Playtech have mostly dominated the news since the beginning, with Microgaming easing off Europe over into Asia. We have seen takeover deals with Pragmatic Play acquiring Extreme Live Gaming, which brought around the eventual inauguration of the exciting Pragmatic Play Live brand. Ezugi, Asia Gaming, BetConstruct, HoGaming (Amaya) Lucky Streak, Vivo Gamin, Authentic Gaming (now owned by Scientific Games and soon to be Light & Wonder), TVBet, and Betgames (formerly BetGames.TV) were the main stayers.

A new era is coming: Now we seem to be in a new era of live dealer gaming with new brand names popping up just as they did back in the 1990s and early 2000s with video slot and virtual table developers. Quick live games, Stakelogic, EGT Interactive, and On Air Entertainment have all come into fold, while Digitain now has its live casino division ready and waiting to reveal itself at the up-and-coming ICE 2022 event. Exciting times are ahead, so stay tuned to Live Casino Central news to keep up with the exciting and fast moving live dealer industry.
