Originally rumoured to launch on March 25, Sherlock & Moriarty WowPot, the latest ‘WowPot’ progressive jackpot slot from Microgaming, has now gone live! Created exclusively for Microgaming by Just For The Win, this is the fifth title to feature the WowPot progressive jackpot, a jackpot that starts with a base seed of €2 million! As you spin the reels on this beautifully designed video slot or any other WowPot title, that shared progressive jackpot continues to grow. That is until one lucky punter scoops the lot!

All WowPot titles contain four separate progressive jackpots. The smallest is the Mini (seeded at €10), followed by the Minor (€100), Major (€50k), and the WowPot (€2 million).  Following the release of Sherlock & Moriarty, five slots feature the WowPot jackpot. Wheel of Wishes came first in early 2020 and was soon followed by Book of Atem, Sisters of Oz, and African Legends.

Amazingly, to this day there has not been a single winner of the WowPot. The jackpot currently stands at over a whopping €14 million! The biggest win of €1,122,062.02 went to one lucky player winning the ‘Mega’ jackpot on Sisters of Oz.

More About the Sherlock & Moriarty WowPot Progressive Slot

As the name suggests, Sherlock & Moriarty WowPot is themed on the legendary detective, Sherlock Holmes. This time, Sherlock and his trusted assistant Holmes go head to head with a genius criminal by the name of Professor Moriarty. The dark side streets around London set the stage, while the reels contain numerous symbols including the games’ main characters.

The action takes place on 5-reels and 3-rows while you have 20 paylines to create your winning combinations. Bonus features include Mystery Symbols, Mystery Respins, Sticky Wilds, Multipliers, and up to 18 free spins! Of course, your aim is to unlock the WowPot Bonus Jackpot Wheel, and you do this by collecting magnifying glasses. Once you have enough, you will win one of the four progressive jackpots which include the lucrative WowPot!

Sherlock & Moriarty contains a 92.1% RTP which for some, may seem low. However, most progressive jackpot slots have low RTP’s due to the huge jackpots they offer. Bets per spin can range from €0.10 to €100, and the slot is considered medium variance.

Microgaming the King of Progressive Slots?

Microgaming has a long history of developing progressive video slots starting with the launch of Cash Splash back in 1998. Since then, Microgaming has consistently added to its portfolio including titles such as Mega Moolah, Major Millions, Treasure Nile, King Cashalot, and a plethora of other jackpot slots from the Mega Moolah series.

Fans will know all about Microgaming’s Mega Moolah. Easily the firms most popular progressive jackpot slot, this title has continually broken payout records over the years. It is not uncommon for Mega Moolah to award players with wins of €10 million+! In fact, Microgaming progressive titles have paid out over €1.2 billion combined. The next target is €1.5 billion, a figure Microgaming hopes to achieve in 2021 via its Progressive Jackpot Network.

Like the WowPot, the Microgaming Progressive Jackpot Network is a jackpot shared across many titles including Mega Moolah, Fortunium Gold Mega Moolah, Major Millions, and Mega Moolah Summertime. Microgaming recently added Juicy Joker Mega Moolah to that collection, another slot developed for Microgaming by the Just For The Win Studios.
