Playtech, the No. 1 supplier of sports betting and online gaming software in the world, has divested from Finlato, its financial arm and also refocused its efforts on its B2C and B2B gaming divisions. The firm has now signed a new partnership deal with Unibet Interactive (operated by Kindred Group). The partnership agreement will cover the entire U.S. market and focus on several jurisdictions in the country.

Unibet Will Benefit from Playtech’s Extensive Expertise

As both firms team up, Unibet will enjoy RNG casino software from Playtech in New Jersey while more states will follow in due time. In a press release, Playtech also confirmed that adding Unibet as a new partner is a step further for Playtech’s expansion in the U.S.

COO of Playtech Expresses Delighted With Playtech Partnership

While speaking on the development, Simon Akad, COO at Playtech, expressed his company’s delight to announce the partnership with Unibet as it is the next step for its growth in the U.S. Simon lauded Unibet as a firm that offers its U.S. customers an amazing entertainment experience.

In his last remarks, the COO stated that: Playtech is proud to partner with Unibet to deliver its casino software as part of Unibet’s market-leading offering, which will first launch in New Jersey. Simon added that his firm would continue to partner with top operators in New Jersey and other states to solidify its standing in the United States.

Statement From SVP at Kindred Group U.S. Welcomes Playtech Software

Also commenting on the development, Manuel Stan, SVP at Kindred Group U.S., welcomed Playtech and commended the casino software it provides. Manuel concluded that:

Teaming up with Playtech enables Unibet to offer a collection of some of the top-quality content to its online customers. The SVP concluded that Unibet looks forward to continuing fruitful partnership with Playtech beyond New Jersey to other states in the U.S. in the nearest future.

Stakeholders have praised New Jersey as one of the key markets in sports betting and iGaming in the U.S. Similarly, there is a high entry barrier in New Jersey that has impeded many gaming operators in the past. Currently, a renowned hosting services provider, Internet Vikings, is working with PlayStar Casino to lead the firm’s marketing entry.

Hope For Playtech in the US Live Casino Market

Earlier this year, Playtech managed to attain a long-term lease for a Live casino in the United States, which is the first of its kind. This massive entertainment studio is in Michigan and features top-class content from this developer. Playtech has not been able to create more live casino studios in the US, but this new deal that has allowed it to break into the New Jersey market may be just what it needs to develop more live casinos and expand its services all over the United States. Knowing this developer and its love for growth, this may not be far-fetched and we can’t wait to see if this will be in the works later in the future.
