Mega Wheel of Fortune

Pragmatic Play Mega Wheel Live Hits Online Casinos! (image source:

If you are a fan of Evolution’s Dreamcatcher, Monopoly, or Crazy Time, then the new Pragmatic Play Mega Wheel may just tickle your fancy. This is the firm’s very first wheel of fortune and its first-ever game show operated live game.  With the inclusion of Mega Wheel, its live casino collection is set to rock the boat in the live casino scene as it is safe to assume that Pragmatic Play looks poised to take on Evolution in 2021.

The developer is also shortlisted for an SBC Award in the ‘Live Casino Supplier’ Shortlist This is in the same category Evolution will also compete for. One thing is certain, the Pragmatic Play Live catalogue is growing fast but still has some catching up to do.

Just to prove that the developer is not scared to diversify its portfolio, Mega Wheel is here after announcing its imminent arrival this November back in October. We can only assume that Pragmatic Play’s aim is to take on Evolution’s long-running reign as the number one live casino platform provider. And what a way to do it!

The live game show has its own dedicated and very colourful studio as well as a host and is expected to be as popular as live casino wheel of fortune games such as Crazy Time which is Evolution’s most profitable game this year.

Mega Wheel Explained

Mega Wheel is an exciting multi-coloured wheel of fortune with 54 segments which is the same as ‘Spin a Win’ and ‘Dreamcatcher’. Inspired by Big 6 and Money Wheels concepts, each segment has a number, and this number is the multiplier of the player’s bet. Overall, there are 9 bet types which are 1, 2, 5, 8, 10, 15, 20, 30, and 50. Players simply place their bets, the host will spin the wheel, and all players that staked the winning number receive their winnings – it is as simple as that.

Random Numbers and Multipliers

If you were wondering what the difference is between ‘Dreamcatcher’ and ‘Spin a Win’ it is the multiplier section is not on the wheel. To make the Mega Wheel a little different while still exciting, there is a random bonus ‘number’ and ‘multiplier’ selected outside of the main game. This is a free side bet if you will. All players that win on this bet could see their original bet multiplied by up to 500x.

The game selects the random number and a multiplier amount at random using an RNG, which is similar to the ‘Top Slot’ on Crazy Time that uses an RNG. Pragmatic Play will circulate this game globally as it comes with support for over 20 languages and 100 currencies. There is a live chat so players can engage with the host.

The Rise of Pragmatic Play’s Live Dealer Catalogue in 2020

Looking back at Pragmatic Play and its 2020, it has to be said that this year is an amazing year for the Pragmatic Play Live vertical. The developer is always ahead with its online slots, and it looks very likely the firm is going to push hard into the live casino scene, making their live games as successful as the Pragmatic Play slots vertical.

Back in September, the firm released its Roulette Azure and Blackjack Azure tables to expand its table game variants while in the same month the firm struck a deal with Blueocean Gaming just a month after its live casino tables went live on 888.

In July, the developer also signed a deal with Reactive Games aggregator to deliver live games to numerous casino operators while that same month we saw the release of Sic Bo. Just the month before that, its live games also went online at Royal Panada Casino.

In May 2020, there was also another live game release, adding Auto-Roulette a month after agreeing yet another enormous deal for its live games to be made available at Betvictor.
