Live dealer gaming, video slots, virtual table games, and sports betting (mainly on cricket) are sensationally popular within India’s iGaming market leading to the SBC Digital India Premier Event which will launch on Wednesday 27 January!

This is the first time the SBC has put on an event in one of the world’s fastest-growing economies. India currently has the second largest population in the world and is a region that eclipses Europe’s population of 741 million!

Even if you add the United States population of roughly 328 million, and Oceania’s Australia and New Zealand to Europe’s populations, the total still falls short of India’s 1.4 billion people!

This is quite clear as certain states are placing restriction on citizens gambling online after revising India’s online gambling laws. However, now it seems the government is taking note of the fact that online gambling is so widespread in the country, it may be better to regulate the market more closely rather than make it illegal, and the SBC clearly sees this as an opportunity to showcase some of the world’s most well-known brands in a virtual networking event.

There are several challenges that the SBC would like to overcome to persuade those opposed to bringing legal online gambling services to the country. Online Gambling in India Estimated to Reach $1.1 Billion in 2021

Roland Landers of the All India Gaming Federation will speak at the event, while Pang Goh of Ezugi will also make an appearance. Ezugi has heavily targeted Indian casino players with its live dealer tables, Andar Bahar and Teen Patti titles. Another notable live dealer manufacturer with a member of their team speaking is CTO of Hollywood TC, David Wainwright.
