Scientific Games Corporation has now entered the live casino market after acquiring a provider of top live casino games, Authentic Gaming. This new acquisition is expected to significantly enhance Scientific Games’ product portfolio. With this acquisition, Scientific Games (NASDAQ:SGMS) has attained yet another milestone in its strategic plan even as it continues to implement its vision of becoming the leading global cross-platform firm. From the Q2 2021 results recently released by Scientific games, it is evident that this company is making the right steps.
Scientific Games continues to focus on strategic growth opportunities by investing in game expansion and diversification in a growing iGaming market in the US even as it becomes a content-led digital growth firm. The global live casino market comprises up to 30 percent of the iGaming market. The market is also a major product vertical for players. Scientific Games has further strengthened its in-house capability with the acquisition of Authentic Gaming and as such will now be able to provide immersive gaming for players across the globe.
Similarly, Scientific Games can further leverage its land-based relationships, leading OpenGaming platform and content IP to accelerate its growth in the exciting channel.
