Pragmatic Play Jackpot Play API

Live casinos could soon be gearing up for Pragmatic Play Live Casio Progressive Jackpots as the brand releases a new jackpot API with 4 prize pools! (Courtesy of Pragmatic Play)

We already have a few live casinos that offer progressive jackpots on live dealer games via the Amusnet, Playtech and Evolution software providers. And there is now the possibility of Pragmatic Play Live also including progressive jackpots on its live dealer games.

Now before you get too excited, this is not something that is concrete and purely an educated guess. The reason for this speculation is because Pragmatic Play has just announced the release of a global progressive jackpot across its online slots. OK, so how does this affect live casino games, and why should you get excited I hear you ask?

Well, if the Pragmatic Play’s history is anything to go by, I would place a 90% certainty its new jackpot system will filter into live casinos. The reason I say this is because the company started with video slots and then ventured into live casinos. OK, so not the strongest argument. However, what about the Pragmatic Play Drops & Wins promotions? It also began with slots and branched out to live casino games.

My Prediction: Now with the online slots jackpot announced, I don’t think it will be too long before the software provider extends the jackpot over into its live dealer game portfolio. In fact, it makes perfect sense

What Progressive Jackpot Options are Available to Live Casino Players?

Playtech’s Age of the Gods Roulette and its Everybody’s Jackpot game show are already immensely popular. Playtech’s Casino Stud Poker is also a popular virtual casino table game.

On top of this, Evolution has its live jackpot games available mostly at UK live casinos as well as major casino brands under both UKGC and MGA licensing. These are Live Casino Hold’em Jumbo and Live Texas Hold’em Bonus Poker. Both games do not always come with the Evolution progressive jackpot at all online casinos, but top casinos like 888Casino, LeoVegas and William Hill include the chance to win big.

LeoVegas Jackpot: On top of this, LeoVegas also has a site-wide progressive jackpot that is worth millions. Players can win this by playing a wide range of games at the casino including live casino table games and game shows.

What Does the Current Pragmatic Play Global Progressive Jackpot Offer?

The new jackpot network will become adopted by a number of online slots in the Pragmatic Play collection. However, for the time being, live casino games do not get a mention, but as mentioned, there is no reason why these games cannot adopt this jackpot and here’s why – it pays out players at random.

There are four jackpots on the network, which are Minor, Major, Mega and Grand. Each one will have a seed to reset itself once it pays out. The top jackpot is Mega and will pay out the highest amounts but less frequently than Minor, Major, and Mega. And the lower the prize amount the jackpot offers, the more often it will pay out.

Over in the world of video slots drop in jackpots triggered by any spin on any slot within the jackpot network can trigger the jackpot. Pragmatic Play Live games can also use the same tech so players on table games or live casino game shows can trigger the jackpot at random on any bet. It is a similar principle used with the Pragmatic Play Drops & Wins cash prize drops playing blackjack and game shows.

How will casinos adopt the jackpot? There is a system called Pragmatic Play’s Jackpot API, which casinos can use to pull all slots from the software provider into the jackpot pool. Likewise, I expect live casino games to fall under the same API in the future. For more info, see the full Pragmatic Play jackpot news here.
