WSOP (World Series of Poker) is now live in Pennsylvania following a successful field trial which made the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board approve it.

Pennsylvanian poker players can now play legally on WSOP.com for the first time. WSOP is set to offer more ways to win payouts, weekly tournaments, bracelet events, and special sign-up promos, to players in Pennsylvania to celebrate the new launch. This is on top of live poker tables also available via Evolution which has a live dealer studio in the state.

Also to be included in the promotions are daily satellites featuring low buy-ins ($1) which will enable locals to get an opportunity to earn a seat in Las Vegas at the main event (the most attractive of all poker tournaments) scheduled for this fall.

Statement From Ty Stewart

Speaking on the launch, SVP of the WSOP at Caesars Entertainment, Ty Stewart stated that:

The firm is delighted as the World Series of Poker is opening up in the state of Pennsylvania. He added that the players who will join at WSOP.com are the real beneficiaries of the expansion. Stewart further stated that a WSOP has a robust team focused on offering Pennsylvania poker players the most value and is also confident in the capability of their online poker products.

In his last remarks, the SVP welcomed all new and existing players from the professionals to the amateurs and everyone in between with WSOP’s signed-up promos which are the best in the industry, and unique bracelet series specially catered to Pennsylvania players.

What Does This New Development Mean?

This implies that the state of Pennsylvania joins New Jersey and Nevada states where WSOP.com online poker is already in operation. WSOP online broke several records of the online poker festival as the domestic series made more than 26 million dollars worth of prize pools across thirty-one bracelet events. Each tournament recorded about 865,000 dollars on average to make it the largest event series organized in regulated markets in the US. The last winner of the 2020 WSOP went home with a whopping $1,550,969! This is just a little insight on how much players can win during this event.
