On Thursday night, the SBC Awards Latin America awards ceremony took place acknowledging outstanding iGaming and sports betting companies for their excellence in the Latam region. Below we have the full winners list to report.
Although the Latin America Awards do not reflect the performances of operators and suppliers in Europe, the event’s winners are brands we see at MGA, Curacao and UKGC casinos. We saw plenty of well-known names as soon as the SBC Latinoamérica 2022 Awards shortlists came out, which piqued our interest in the event.
In particular, for Live Casino Central readers, live dealer platforms Evolution and Pragmatic Play took down accolades in their categories. And most notably, Evolution was the proud receiver of two awards from this event.
Over 2022, SBC Awards ceremonies across the globe recognised the achievements of sports betting and iGaming providers. Categories in each event vary as the organiser works hard to include a diverse array of companies involved in the gambling industry, such as operators, affiliates, payment platforms, tech companies, data services and other major disciplines.
Adding to this, the events also include a conference with an iGaming and sports betting star-studded lineup of speakers. The hosts were Inés Sainz (a sports journalist) and Juan Pablo Varsky (Ambassador Futbol Sites – Playmaker). Plus, there were judges from various gambling companies including CGS Latam Awards and Sagse Buenos Aires Awards winner Victor Arias, who is Pragmatic Play’s VP Latam.
This year’s 2022 SBC Awards Latin America took place in the ballroom at the Hard Rock Hotel Tower at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in the Hollywood area of Miami, Florida. It was the perfect location and venue. It boasts 120,000 square feet of meeting space for the event itself, and right next door there is a 140,000 square-foot casino.
What are the major SBC Events? The SBC Awards in Barcelona is the major global event, then there are regional awards ceremonies. Namely, the SBC Awards North America and the SBC Latinoamerica Awards (Latam). Aside from award events, over 2022 there were several SBC summits held in different regions across the globe.
Evolution Takes a Double Win!
What an event for Evolution. The iGaming specialist made it a double win in the supplier category. The company won the Casino & iGaming Supplier of the year award and the Industry Innovation of the year honours. It is the first time in 2022 Evolution has won an award in the region.
Three SBC honours this year: At the recent SBC Awards 2022 in Barcelona, Evolution also won the Live Casino Supplier of the year, making it a total of three SBC accolades in 2022.
Pragmatic Play Scoops Lottery & Supplier Award!
In this year’s SBC Latin America ceremony, Pragmatic Play won the best Bingo & Lottery Supplier of the year. It is the seventh award in Latin American picked up by the company this year after also winning CGS Latam, Sagse Buenos Aires, and Brazilian iGaming Summit awards.

BetConstruct & SoftSwiss Victrious in Latam!
- BetConstruct (Sportsbook Supplier of the year): Now the BetConstruct live casino brand operates under CreedRoomz. Nonetheless, we still track the company’s success. In fact, the brand was in the running for seven awards in this event, however; it ended up taking down one – Sportsbook Supplier of the year, which is almost certainly the one the team wanted the most. BetConstruct missed out on ‘Virtual Sports’, ‘Casino Supplier’, ‘Marketing & Service Supplier’, ‘Platform Provider’, ‘Esports Supplier’ and ‘Acquisition & Retention Partner’, but hats off because its a major achievement to receive nominations for so many.
- SOFTSWISS Sportsbook (Rising Star In Sports Betting): Well known for its online casino aggregator platform and cryptocurrency prowess as well as hosting several top live dealer brands, SOFTSWISS was up for five awards. In the end, the company came up trumps with the Rising Star In Sports Betting after missing out on the ‘Acquisition & Retention Partner’, ‘Rising Star In Casino’, ‘Marketing & Services Provider’, and ‘Industry Innovation’ awards.
