Is there a clue? Will Authentic Gaming rebrand to Light & Wonder?
Notice how the new gameshow hits the live casino scene in conjunction with online slot provider Light & Wonder (L&W).
The latter iGaming brand resulted from a rebranding mission by Scientific Games in April 2022. It also saw the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) ticker change to L&W. Although the Scientific brand name still exists for its lottery operations.
However, Scientific Games acquired Authentic Gaming making it the company’s live casino arm. On the other side of the fence, Light & Wonder has always focused on video slots. Does that mean with the release of the 7’s on Fire LIVE Gameshow there is a clue here? ‘In conjunction with L&W’. I suspect we’ll be seeing the end of Authentic Gaming as a brand name as it is phased out and eventually replaced by L&W.
If this were the case; L&W would become another Pragmatic Play-style software provider offering online slots and live casino games.
