BetGames has signed a deal with African operator and games supplier Sahara Games Technology. With the deal in place, the brand’s live dealer portfolio will become available in several casinos and sports books operating in the Sahara region.

Sahara Games Technology provides the means for citizens to gamble online in countries such as Kenya, Nigeria, Uganda, and Mozambique. With the new deal in place, this gives BetGames reach across more than 300 retail locales. Not bad at all!

Particularly mentioned by the BetGames live casino game provider is the introduction of its Wheel of Fortune game show title as well as its Lucky 5 and Lucky 7 lottery-style live dealer games.

The games will join the Sahara Games Technology platform, which exclusively targets the African online gambling scene. The company, based in the Republic of Seychelles, offers solutions for online casinos looking to expand their casino game portfolio. It is also similar to SoftSwiss and Soft2Bet aggregator platforms simply because Sahara Games Technology also provides full turnkey online casino, lottery, and sports book solutions.

Other expertise the company provides includes, but it is not limited to, payment/banking solutions (extremely handy in Africa), hosting, affiliate management services, custom casino and sports book website development, integrated website marketing solutions and a hosting solution. It is by-and-large a company that offers an all-around package for newbies looking to target countries in Africa. Games offered through the platform include ‘Table Games’, ‘Slots’, ‘Video Poker’, ‘Side Bets’, and ‘Instant Win’ all via its ‘Open Gaming Platform’. On top of the current portfolio, BetGames live dealer titles now avaiable.

Sahara Games COO, Mathew Halloran, said: “We aim to maintain our high ranking among operators in the continent, and collaborating with BetGames will help us greatly in that objective.”

BetGames Journey into Africa’s iGaming Markets

The first time we heard of BetGames’ ambitions in Africa was back when the firm was still operating under the BetGames.TV brand name. That was in 2015, however, we only heard more about the live dealer brand’s success in the country six years later.

That first educational experience was back in May 2021 when the company’s award-winning CEO Aiste Garneviciene took part in what was a round table debate about the African online gambling market. (FYI: Just the year before she won the SBC 2020 award for the ‘Leader of the Year’).

In October 2021, BetGames Sales Director in Africa then came forward with some interesting stats. One that focused on South Africa in particular. The prediction was that the iGaming market in the country would break $2.3 billion in revenue by 2023. That’s still a far cry from the largest iGaming market in the world, the UK, which has $16.41 billion and BetGames operates here too.

However, South Africa is part of the BRICS economies and has accelerated GDP growth versus the UK, so when compared, this gap can only get smaller. Backing this prediction up, the current stats show that the country’s 2023 GDP is predicted to be at USD 448 billion and will jump to USD 513 billion by 2027.

On top of this, out of all global continents, Africa as a whole has the fastest growing GDP!

And coming straight from the now BetGames (rebranded from BetGames.TV) news columns on the brand’s official news pages is its new deal with Sahara Games. It’s yet another positive move into the African online gambling scene.

Other live casino brands in Africa: Pragmatic Play has made four new partnership deals in South Africa this year, starting with announcing its market entrance via CDP Gaming. The company also closed a supply agreement in Central Africa just last month. TVBet has also closed multiple deals in the continent. Since its announced 2020 market entrance, the live dealer brand has grown its presence with 5 new partnership deals.
