The results are out for the EGR 2021 Day 1and we are more than happy with how it went. The event took place at York Lawns, situated in Regent Park, London. Unlike last year which was completely virtual, this year’s event was a combination of in-person and virtual shows to announce the winning iGaming and sports betting brands for 2021. We already had an insight into the potential winners since there was already a shortlist stating the 39 award categories. Day 1 of the event covered 18 awards, and groups 1-3 have now been settled.

Evolution Clinches Innovation in RNG Casino Software Award

As usual, Evolution Gaming has continued to perform exemplarily well. This award does not come as a surprise since this developer is the owner of both Red Tiger and NetEnt. Evolution gaming recently delved into the RNG iGaming sector, especially with its First Person table games. The RNG-powered casino games collection from this developer uses 3D rendering to provide players with a virtual table gaming experience that is close to the real thing.

The award was delivered with a special mention of the Football Studio titles offered by Evolution. This game is one that is simple and fun. Also noted was the First Person Craps, but the collection also consists of other notable mentions like Dragon Tiger, Lightning Roulette, American Roulette, Virtual Mega Ball, etc.

BetConstruct Wins the Skill Games Supplier award

Some of the results were expected, with BetConstruct clinching the Skill Games Supplier award. This developer is renowned for its live casino selection, but also its skill games which is why this award does not really come as a surprise to us. The developer has not compromised the quality of its releases to date, so we believe this is a reward they deserved.

MuchBetter Wins Innovation in Payments Solutions

For the second time, MuchBetter has managed to win the Innovation in Payment Solutions award in the EGR 2021. This is not surprising considering that this payment solution aims to become one of the leading payment solutions in the sports and iGaming sector. The eWallet provided by this company is developed for secure, fast, and easy payment transactions. It also ensures extensive fraud protection and fair charges. As a result, most online casino operators support the payment option.

Other Worthy Mentions

NeoGames, on the other hand, won the Live Streaming Supplier award, while Kambi was honored with both the Sports Betting Supplier’ of the year and ‘In-play Betting Software’ awards. The trophy for the Sports Data Supplier of the year was awarded to EveryMatrix, while the Virtual Sports Supplier award was delivered to Kiron Interactive.

Anticipation for the results of the Live Casino Supplier of the Year Award

We highly anticipate the winner of one of the biggest awards, the Live Casino Supplier of the Year Award. Evolution has won this award 12 consecutive times. This year, it will be competing with other leading developers. These include BetConstruct, Ezugi, Playtech, Pragmatic Play, TVBET, BetGames.TV, SA Gaming, and OneTouch. These are worthy opponents, and we can’t wait for the results, which we will report tomorrow.
