February was a wild ride for the iGaming industry, with a slew of exhibitions and award ceremonies lighting up the month. From the prestigious 2023 IGA Awards to the epic 2023 Global Gaming Awards and everything in between, it was a month of glitz and glamour.

But the cherry on top was undoubtedly the long-awaited 2023 EKG Slot Awards, where the top casino games of the year were finally crowned champions.

The Eilers & Krejcik Gaming (EKG) Slot Awards Show was held at the Aria Resort & Casino on Thursday, February 23, 2023, and by all accounts, it was a night to remember. The event lasted just two and a half hours, but we’re sure the party continued long into the Las Vegas night.

This is the second time we have covered this, and if you caught our coverage of the 2022 EKG Slot Awards, it begs a simple question. Will Evolution once again dominate the live casino awards or will another live supplier step up to the plate? Well, the title of this post gives away a massive hint, but we’ll ignore that for now!

So far in 2023: Uncharacteristically, Evolution has missed out on most major iGaming awards so far this year. Bombay live won the 2023 Live Casino of the Year at the IGA Awards and Pragmatic Play scooped the Online Casino Supplier at the 2023 Global Gaming Awards. Evolution even missed out at the EGR Nordics Awards last month.

For Two Years in a Row – Evolution Scoops Two EKG Awards

This year, there were six iGaming categories which is an increase from the four last time out. The ever-dominant Evolution made it to the shortlist in four of those categories. In short, the live casino supplier was up for the best Overall Supplier of Online Content, Top Performing NEW Online Table Game, Most Innovative Online Game, and Top Performing Online Live Casino Game. Remember, Evolution won the former two awards at last year’s event. Well, as you will see in the accompanying tables/boxes, Evolution once again managed to win two awards. This time, the firm lost out in the table game category but instead won the newly introduced online live casino game category. The developer also reclaimed the overall supplier award.
