Another EGR award is just around the corner and the shortlist announced. After the success of the recent EGR North America Awards 2022, next up for the EGR iGaming and sports betting panel is the EGR Marketing & Innovation Awards 2022.
For this latest bout of awards from the EGR organization, the goalposts have changed from categories such as ‘best game’, ‘best operator’, ‘best live casino’ etc… Instead, this event is all about how well iGaming and sports betting companies market their product and brand. It includes 3 main categories, and under each of those, there are a set of awards.
The 3 main categories are ‘Affiliates’, ‘Operators’, and ‘Suppliers’. The ‘Affiliates’ section has 2 awards up for grabs, while the ‘Operators’ section has 20 awards to announce, while the ‘Supplies’ portion of the event has 2 awards to dish out. Check them all out below as I have listed all the categories.
Mr Green and William Hill casinos, both platforms are part of our live casino reviews here are on the shortlist for the ‘Brand of the Year’ award, while William Hill also made it onto the ‘Casino Marketing Campaign’ of the year shortlist. Both casinos already have award wins under their belts this year from the EGR Nordics 2022 with Mr Green winning the ‘Safer Gambling Operator’, and William Hill the ‘Casino Operator’ award.
888poker, which we also have a live casino review for its 888casino brand, is in with a chance of winning the ‘Best use of Brand Ambassador’. Last year, in the 2021 EGR Marketing & Innovation Awards, 888poker won the ‘Poker Marketing Campaign’ of the year award and has been nominated for the same award again this year, so it could be a double whammy 2 years running. Also, the overall 888 brand is up for the Marketer of the year – Individual award.

Last Year’s 2021 EGR Marketing & Innovation Awards Events Recap
It was the Hurlingham Club that hosted the same event last year in an event. The name ‘Betsson’ rang out numerous times throughout the awards presentation – a testament to just how dominant the brand is in European as well as global gambling both in the iGaming and sports betting spaces. The company picked up awards such as ‘Best native app’, ‘Mobile Marketing Campaign’, ‘Social Marketing Campaign’, ‘Innovation in Horse Racing’, and ‘Innovation in mobile and tablet’.
In fact, like this year Betsson has been nominated again for multiple awards – a total of 8. As for other notable winners last year, we saw PlayOJO win the ‘Bingo Marketing Campaign’, Casumo Casino took down the Casino marketing Campaign award, and who else would win the Innovation in poker award other than PokerStars.
More 2022 EGR Events to Look Out For
On the 9 May, look out for the EGR Power 50 Summit 2022, then on 11 May there is the EGR Power Affiliates Summit 2022 coming up, and of course, perhaps the biggest EGR event of the year is coming up next month – the EGR B2B Awards 2022 awards ceremony (see nominations news here). As for the EGR Operators Awards, we’ll have to wait until October 2022.
Attend the EGR Marketing & Innovation Awards 2022: Anyone who happens to be in London on 14 June 2022, then you can attend the event at The Hurlingham Club situated between the river Thames and the plush Hurlingham Park.
