Playtech is back in the media spotlight in the US after a Playtech and Parx Interactive Michigan partnership was confirmed today on the Playtech news page!

Parx online casino Michigan is on the verge of opening its virtual doors for business via the Gun Lake Casino after lawmakers recently approved a license for the online casino brand to operate within the Wolverine state. It will now become the 15th license issued and 13th online casino to hit the World Wide Web vying for business in a state that has a population of 10 million people. Fire Keepers Casino and Soaring Eagle Casino have licenses. but are yet to partner with an operator at this time.

However, just a few days ago when licensing came through, Parx Interactive was still yet to announce a tech partner. Since then, a deal with Playtech has been thrashed out which makes perfect sense as Playtech Live just announced its Playtech Live Michigan studio is on the way.

Via a newly developed mobile app, Playtech will deliver its bespoke live dealer and RNG slot titles. The app will use Playtech’s IMS platform, which will also include the firm’s powerful Player Account Management (PAM) system. This deal does not stop at Michigan either! Parx Interactive also operates in New Jersey where Playtech will roll out its content via the app to deliver its formidable video slots collection to players in the Garden State.

Playtech beat Evolution to the Michigan market after the UK frim annouced that it would open the USA’s fourth live dealer studio. Evolution currently operates in New Jersy and Penslyvania, and also owns and operates the Ezugi studio in New Jersey!

Michigan iGaming Market Ideal For Playtech US Growth Plan

In the first 10 days of opening online casino reported revenues of $42.7 million! Meanwhile, by the end of April, the state’s total monthly online casino revenue should surpass the $100 million mark, meaning Michigan is already well on its way to generating over $1 billion dollars in revenue directly from iGaming. Just last month, New Jersey hit the $114 million mark in an online market that has been online since November 2013!

Now Michigan has only been online for 3 months and counting but is already catching up with New Jersey where Evolution and Ezugi have had immense success with their live dealer platforms. And NJ only has a population of around 800,000 less than Michigan, so seeing these figures fly through the Wolverine State at such an early time suggests this market will overtake the Garden State.

For Playtech, the firm has 100% landed on its feet, beating Evolution to the crunch. It means Playtech live dealer games should become as successful as Evolution’s US operations, which the CEO of Evolution recently said that its North American operations are part of the reason why the company saw 60% Growth in its live casino sector. Granted that Evolution also operates in Pennsylvania, but this is also a good sign for Playtech Live which will surely report high growth rates being contributed partly by its Michigan live dealer studio!

Last month was a record month for Michigan’s iGaming market after it announced revenues of $95,081,592 which contributed $12,827,716 on state taxes and $4,445,782 in local taxes! Playtech Live is about to get in on the party and lap up some of that market share via its brand new app with Parx Casino and Gun Lake Casino!
