SBC Awards Latinoamérica is one of the largest gambling entertainment awards ceremonies of the year in South America. The evening begins with networking between the various industry segments before coming to a dramatic end with awards handed out to the best of the best!
Pragmatic Play, Evolution, BetConstruct (now CreedRoomz), and Entain won gold awards in the event. Also, Amunet, SOFTSWISS, and Pragmatic Play won silver awards.
As always, the SBC Awards Latinoamérica gives us no shortage of well-known brand names involved. All of them come from various gambling industry sectors—namely sports betting, land-based casinos, eSports, payment solutions, tech solutions, and iGaming.
For the Compliance Partner / Supplier of the Year, Gaming Laboratories International (GLI) also won a gold award—meanwhile, GLI’s competitor, BMM Testlabs, won silver. We are still waiting to see which of these two companies won the Best Testing Laboratory award in the European iGaming Excellence Awards (EiGE Awards 2023), which is another awards event from last week. I will report as soon I have the full list of winners. Spoiler alert: SOFTSWISS won two EiGE awards in that event. Where and when was the SBC Awards Latinoamérica? The event took place at the Terrace Ballroom – Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Miami on 2 November 2023.
The SBC Awards Latinoamérica 2023 Event Categories
The event is split into 5 categories. Payments and Compliance Awards, Affiliate and Media Awards, Operator and Supplier Awards, Supplier Awards and Operator Awards. Altogether, across all 5 categories, there are 25 Gold awards. Of the 25 awards, 16 silver awards and 1 bronze are also awarded.
Supplier Awards -Pragmatic Play, Evolution, BetConstruct, SOFTSWISS
- Bingo & Lottery Supplier of the Year: ‘Pragmatic Play‘ retained the same award won in the 2022 version of this event, while hot its heals was ‘Caleta Gaming‘ won silver.
- Acquisition & Retention Partner: ‘SOFTSWISS‘ picked up the the silver award just missing out to ‘Genius Sports‘ who won gold.
- Casino & iGaming Supplier of the Year: ‘Evolution‘ won gold once again as it retains its gold win from the 2022 event. ‘Pragmatic Play‘ took silver.
- Land-Based Betting & Gaming Product: ‘BetConstruct‘ won gold for this award and there were no silver awards dished out.
Last Year’s Results: In the 2022 SBC Awards Latin America Winners news report BetConstruct won Sportsbook Supplier of the year, Pragmatic Play won the best Bingo & Lottery Supplier, and Evolution win the Casino & iGaming Supplier of the year award and the Industry Innovation of the year. SOFTSWISS also won the Rising Star In Sports Betting for the SOFTSWISS Sportsbook.
