SBC Awards North America 2023 Shortlists – Who is in the running for an award?

On your marks, get set, gooooo… The race is on for the SBC Awards North America 2023, starting on 11 May with 600+ guests expected at the New York Hilton Midtown venue.

The SBCEvents team is putting on another round of iGaming, Sports Betting, Marketing, Social Responsibility, Affiliate, and Payment Provider award recognition. And looking at the names in the running, there is one hell of an event in the making here.

Some of the headlining brands on the SBC Awards North America 2023 shortlists you are probably already familiar with if you follow the online live casino scene and/or land-based gambling. We’ll see the Evolution Gaming casino game supplier challenge for the best Live Betting & Gaming Product award. And white label aggregator platforms White Hat Gaming and SOFTSWISS compete for the ‘Platform Provider’ award, while SOFTSWISS is up against Evolution for the Best Casino Supplier award. White Hat Gaming is an interesting one too, as the company also operates several online casinos.

On top of those headlining brands, land-based and online gambling giants IGT, Entain, Scientific Games, BetConstruct, Aristocrat Gaming, and Inspired Entertainment are also in the running. From that list, BetConstruct is also challenging for the Best Casino Supplier and Best Platform Provider awards. Even more impressive is the love for BetConstruct in this event, as the online and land-based gambling giant is up for five Supplier Awards!

Despite these awards including Canadian Ontario brands, I am surprised to see some of the big names that thrive in Europe not making this year’s shortlists. 888Casino, LeoVegas, Rootz (operator for Wheelz and Wildz live casinos), and the now Playtech-owned casino NorthStar Bets are not on the list. All these brands are used to being at these events, but it seems the US brands have trumped the European names.

BetMGM, DraftKings, and FanDuel Group dominate the shortlists for the ‘Operator Awards’ category, while SOFTSWISS has made it to three Supplier Awards shortlists, and Evolution is also on two of them.
