Vivo Gaming’s Basics of Secure Live Dealer Casino Gaming

In essence, Vivo Gaming talks about how players come to online live casinos for an authentic land-based iGaming experience via their mobile or desktop device. Using the word ‘land-based’ is key here. The idea of live dealer casino games is to bridge the gap between sitting at a table in a brick-and-mortar casino and playing live tables online with real dealers and croupiers streamed via webcams. That means building the same trust as players have with land-based gaming into desktop and mobile gaming versions.

A key focal point you can take from the Vivo Gaming report was ‘Software Integrity’. This is the basic facet that creates success for any live casino game developer delivering games via the internet.

To elaborate on this point, and to satisfy ‘Software Integrity’ online, any iGaming platform you play at should have smooth and easy-to-operate betting interfaces on their live games as well as reliable webcam streams that adapt to your bandwidth capabilities across all device types. On top of this, you should be making sure the casino you choose uses HTTPS at the start of its URL to guarantee encrypted connections. You can achieve this by ensuring the live casino and software provider hold a Curacao or MGA licence for casinos hosting Vivo Gaming live games. I have added this point because these authorities will ensure all games have passed security compliance tests by approved third-party companies such as BMM Test Tabs and GLI.

In-house hardware integrity checks: Vivo Gaming makes an interesting point by which it also considers hardware integrity. as a result, an in-house team checks its shuffle machines, roulette wheels, cards and other casino equipment for integrity using fair operations audits.

High end compliance & encrypted security

Vivo Gaming iGaming Compliance
  • All casinos need HTTPS at the start of the URL
  • iGaming licensing require BMM ‘or’ GLI testing certificates
  • Webcam streams & betting interfaces should operate smoothly

Why Live Casinos Should Feature Sic Bo & Teen Patti

You can see just how popular Teen Patti, a variant of poker, is via the live dealer India portal. The game is in-demand amongst first, second, third and fourth-generation players who are citizens of the UK, Ireland, Canada, Australia, South Africa, and New Zealand, whereby their family tree descends from India. The same can be said for Oriental cultures in these countries and in their home country seeking out live Sic Bo tables online – a popular dice game.

I totally agree with Vivo Gaming’s analysis of both Teen Patti and Sic Bo. Even when reviewing live casinos, I also look out for these games to make sure they get a mention. Also, you will notice that the Livecasinocentral casino reviews additionally have a virtual games section where the team also regularly highlight virtual (RNG) Teen Patti and Sic Bo table games for you.

What about Andar Bahar? Yes, I think this is also worth a mention. It is arguably just as popular as Teen Patti in India. It is a card game played once again through generations of players from or descending from India.

The Popularity of Sic Bo & Teen Patti

Vivo Gaming iGaming Compliance

  • Sic Bo is popular in Oriental cultures
  • Teen Patti & Sic popular with ethnic communities in Europe & Americas
2023 Defining Live Dealer Trends

According to a news report I published on 9 February, the global live dealer industry has shot up from a 10.8% market share in 2012 to 30.8% this year. However, by 2025 market share will fall slightly and settle somewhere around 30.1% as its influence plateaus. However, the revenue will continue to increase jumping from 6.09 billion Euros this year (2022) to 7.28 billion Euros by 2025, so we know it’s a strong iGaming niche.

The question is, what will trend next year to maintain and drive this rise in revenue? Well, who better to find out this information from than a software provider operating in the niche?

Vivo Gaming’s news story covering 2023 live dealer trends covers several points, and here’s my thoughts on each one:

  • US iGaming: There is the upcoming rise in US online gambling as states change legislation to legalise iGaming platforms under state licensing laws. This expansion is one to look out for with Evolution and Playtech the dominant forces in this market.
  • New (Expanding) Games Portfolios: As the live casino niche is relatively new, most love dealer platforms have small game portfolios. Mostly because many of them are new. However, to keep things moving, new live casino titles and fresh variants of existing games will continue throughout 2023 eventually giving players a similar diversity to slot mechanics like Megaways, Ways to Wins, Pay Lines, Classic Slot, Pay Any Where, etc…
  • VR: It is hard to see when VR will kick off. I’m not confident it will be a trend for 2023, but I could be wrong. Every year this one pokes its head above water, but for now, only Evolution’s Gonzo’s Treasure Hunt has made a serious dabble with VR to date. That being said, it’s a start. I do look forward to the days when I will be sitting at a Blackjack table with my VR headset and chatting to the person next to me – when this will happen, I do not know.
  • NFTs: Another one I am skeptical, and more so than the rise of VR in 2023. I don’t think NFTs are ready for the live dealer scene just yet. Although they will kick off in 2023 in other online gambling areas, I think we will need to wait for a couple of years more going past 2023 for NFTs to start significantly trending.

My Favourite – Better Chatroom Experiences: A big one for all of us live dealer players I believe is the social aspect of live dealer gaming. New tech  could see players interacting with other players very soon, and it could include audio. There are already audio conversation with player and live dealer on some Creed Roomz VIP tables.

2023 Live Casino Trends

Vivo Gaming Live Casino Trends 2023
  • US statewide iGaming licensing
  • Continuation of new game releases
  • Virtual Reality (VR)
  • Non-fungible tokens (NFTs)
  • Player to player chat rooms (Maybe even audio)
