The 2023 Global Gaming Awards event is upon us, and the nominees for the shortlists are now fully confirmed thanks to the release of the GGA Shortlist Magazine. There are 16 awards up for grabs with accolades being handed out to gambling company execs, online casino brands, suppliers, operators, aggregator solution providers, payment providers and more.
London’s Hippodrome Casino is set to host the awards ceremony, which will take place on the same day as the IGA Awards 2023, and one day prior to the start of the ICE London 2023 event. FYI – you can check the IGA 2023 awards shortlists here. The event has a live casino accolade up for grabs.
Unfortunately, the GGA doesn’t have a live casino specific award, but we have seen live casino brands snap up the awards in the past. In last year’s 2022 GGA event, Evolution took down the ‘Online Casino Supplier’ of the year award. Spoiler alert, in this year’s 2023 GGA event, Evolution hasn’t made it onto any of the shortlists. Whether the company didn’t nominate itself or simply was not selected I do not know.
For most live casino players, this years Global Gaming Awards will be about the Online Casino, Online Casino Supplier, and Platform Provider of the year awards. Just in case you may also be interested in some of the other awards, such as video slots, sports and land-based casino, you will find them all listed below.
Hippodrome Casino Venue: This year’s event will take place 6 February at the Hippodrome Casino, which is also home to PokerStars Live table and Evolution Dual Play live roulette. The casino is in Leicester Square right next to the London Underground.
Global Gaming Awards Online Casino of the Year
As there is no award for live casino software providers, and somehow no live casino games made it into the Global Gaming Awards ‘Product Launch’ of the year awards category, the focus for live dealer players is the ‘Online Casino of the Year’ award. Will LeoVegas Win Again? With Leovegas and VideoSlots serial award winners when it comes to online casino supply, I would say it is these brands that are favourites to win. However, we cannot rule out Stake.com, which has had an impressive rise into the iGaming scene.
