On Air Entertainment, the Microgaming-backed live casino supplier that recently announced it would enter the Swedish market after acquiring a license from the Swedish Gaming Authority has now revealed it is to open a new live studio in Romania.

This new casino will host 60 tables in total with 30 featuring blackjack and 30 featuring roulette. The backdrop of each table will ensure that it looks like it is situated in the heart of an actual land-based casino. The technology used in the studio such as cameras, microphones, and streaming software will also be state-of-the-art and cutting edge.

The studio will create jobs for up to 350 staff, including live dealers and croupiers, studio managers, and technicians. Each staff member will be trained to the highest level while live dealers and croupiers will be expected to be fluent in either Romanian or Italian due to the studio operating in those iGaming markets.

Although new of the new studio has been revealed this week, it will not open until some point in Q4 this year. Many leading operators in the Romanian and Italian markets have already expressed an interest in the live titles already available at On Air Entertainment. Plus, all operators that feature the leading live casino supplier will eventually get access to new titles as and when they are launched.

On Air Entertainment already has plans to follow the opening of this new studio in Bucharest, Romania with another two studios. One will also open in Q4 this year while the next is planned for Q1 in 2023.

On Air Entertainment Continues its Rapid Growth

On Air Entertainment only launched its first title in November 2021 but has quickly emerged as a leading supplier in many major markets. The first title was live blackjack, and since then, the firm has also developed and started hosting roulette, auto, roulette, and speed roulette. The leading developer also plans to release a live slot title called 9 Pots of Gold StreamIcon Edition in the coming months.

The live casino supplier has already entered 7 major regulated markets in the short time since launching. Currently, live casino players in the UK, Isle of Man, Malta, Sweden, Greece, the Netherlands, Denmark, Latvia, and Ontario can access and play the live titles offered by On Air Entertainment.

The brand has also picked up industry recognition despite operating in the iGaming markets for less than a year. The brand picked up the Rising Star of the Year at the 2022 IGA Awards. This latest move of opening a new studio will allow the brand to focus on two new markets and continue its overall growth in the increasingly competitive live casino industry.

The Head of Operations at On Air Entertainment, Mathijs Beugelink, had this to say regarding the new partnership:

On Air Entertainment has quickly established itself as a leading live casino provider in the iGaming industry and establishing a new studio in Romania shows our plans of continuing this rapid growth. This studio which uses state-of-the-art technology will allow us to live stream our live casino games from the centre of Bucharest. We are also delighted that this studio will provide up to 350 jobs in the country, people who we trust will operate our studio to the highest of standards.

Adding to that, Dejan Loncar, On Air Entertainment’s Head of Business Development said:

It is exciting that we will now begin our entry into two markets that both offer untapped potential. The Romanian and Italian markets have shown a desire to access and enjoy live casino games, and that is the driving force behind us deciding to open our Romanian studio.
