Global Gaming Awards Las Vegas

The excitement is over after the build-up to one of North America’s most prestigious iGaming, land-based casinos as well as online and retail sports betting gambling events.

As you may have guessed, the latest Global Gaming Awards, also known as the G2E Las Vegas 2023. took place in the City of Dreams. The host for the event was none other than the Venetian Resort Las Vegas.

Altogether, 15 awards were on the line for some of North America’s top brands. Plus, overseas gambling entities competing in regulated North American gambling entertainment markets were also in the running.

Evolution (Europe), Aristocrat (Australia), and Kambi Group (Europe) were all brands from outside the content that made noteworthy winners. While most of the awards naturally went to North American companies well-known in the region. BetMGM, the new owner of LeoVegas, won two first-place awards and a second-place award. Incidentally enough, BetMGM’s LeoVegas also picked an award in London’s 2023 Global Gaming Awards event, taking down the Online Casino of the Year accolade, so it’s been a great year for BetMGM.

Other winners you may be familiar with from the North American online and sports betting scene include DraftKings and FanDuel. At the same time, brands with locations or headquarters in Las Vegas, such as Ceasars, Everi, Hard Rock, and Wynn Resorts, also came up trumps.

G2E Las Vegas Facts: The awards were distributed at the Venetian Resort in a gala luncheon. However, the main event consisted of stands from over 100 gambling entertainment companies networking and giving presentations as speeches.

Evolution Win Two Awards – Live Craps Included

The Global Gaming Awards events are a class act for Evolution as the live dealer provider, as the company regularly wins awards. In this recent G2E Las Vegas event, Evolution won two awards—one for the US introduction of its live Craps game. If you have ever been to a US land-based casino or watched movies that include casinos or a casino scene, Craps is often the game of choice. FYI – it is also known as Snake Eyes for the benefit of those unaware.

G2E Asia 2022: Evolution also won the ‘Digital Supplier of the Year’ award at the Global Gaming Awards Asia 2022 (G2E). Plus, the live dealer supplier also recently won the SBC Awards 2023 ‘ Live Casino Supplier of the Year’ honours in Barcelona.

BetMGM – LeoVegas owner wins multiple awards

MGM Resorts International has had a memorable year across multiple industry awards events through its BetMGM and LeoVegas brands. In the latest G2E Las Vegas, its name came up on the podium for three award categories.  And only yesterday I reported on the BetMGM’s award win at the American Gambling Awards (AGA) after it won the Online Casino of the Year award.

LeoVegas & BetMGM: BetMGM is also opening in the UKGC market and will challenge its current LeoVegas online casino brand. However, this is nothing new. BetMGM also operates both brands in the Ontario iGaming market.
